OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma's first game in the Women's College World Series against Michigan on Thursday will be aired live on ESPN2. The game, which begins at 12:30 p.m., will feature Beth Mowins on play-by-play, Michelle Granger on color and Stacy Paetz working the sidelines.
The Sooners (49-7) will take their first step to defending their 2000 national championship will they take the field on Thursday against the Wolverines (43-15-1). The Sooners have won their last 16 postseason games dating back to last year and are currently riding a school-record and nation-high 22 game winning streak.
If the Sooners win, they will advance to play the winner of the Arizona-California game. That game will be played on Friday at 6 p.m. The game will be aired live on ESPN with Mowins, Granger and Paetz calling the action.
An OU loss means it will face the Arizona-Cal loser at 11 a.m. on Friday. It will also be aired on ESPN with Michele Tafoya on play-by-play, Tracy Warren on color and Ellen Weinberg on the sidelines.
