Oklahoma And Worth Team Up To Host Softball Clinic

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma and Worth will host a softball clinic featuring 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist Jennifer McFalls on Saturday, April 21, at Reaves Park. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the clinic starting at 9 a.m. It will feature the fundamentals of offense and defense and conclude with the seventh-ranked Sooners' game against No. 23 Baylor at noon.

A former assistant coach at OU, McFalls was a member of the USA National Softball team that won the gold medal in the 2000 Olympics held in Sydney. She was also a member of the USA teams that won gold medals in the 1999 Canada Cup and 1999 U.S. Olympic Cup.

Participants need to bring a bat, batting glove, helmet (optional), glove and cleats. The clinic is open to to children 18 and under. The $5.00 registration fee includes lunch, an OU sports bottle and admission to the Baylor game. In case of inclement weather, the clinic will be moved to the Mosier Indoor Facility, which is located east of Oklahoma Memorial Stadium behind the tennis courts.
