Catcher Ashli Barrett is one of the hardest hitters in OU history and was recently one of 51 athletes invited to try out for the USA Softball Women's National Team. She holds the OU career home run record and stands 18th all-time in NCAA history with more than 40 home runs in her four-year career. A 2000 first-team All-American (at-large) and three-time All-Big 12 selection, Barrett has a .322 career batting average. She is a two-time Big 12 Player of the Week this year and already has 10 homers, including two grand slams during the 2001 campaign. Barrett ranks among the top five on OU's career charts in games played, at bats, runs, hits, RBIs, doubles, home runs, extra base hits and total bases.
