OU Promotions Announced for Softball Season

NORMAN, Okla. -- Everything from schedule magnets to autographed posters to license plate frames are among the giveaways during the University of Oklahoma softball's 2001 home schedule. Nine games have featured promotions throughout the season.

The giveaways begin during the Texas A&M and Missouri series. They kick off on Mar. 23 when the first 1,000 fans through the gates get an OU softball schedule magnets. The following day, a specified number will receive posters autographed by the defending nationals champs.

For the Missouri doubleheader on Mar. 27 and versus Baylor on Apr. 22, fans can purchase hot dogs and cokes for only $0.50. During the Texas weekend, the first 500 fans will receive OU softball license plates and license plate frames.

The Sooners returns home on Mar. 9-11 for the OU Worth Invitational. The six-team tournament also features North Carolina, Southwest Missouri State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christie, Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana-Lafayette.
