NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma played like a team that was feeling some pressure.
The No. 8 Sooners overcame a sluggish start, and Rosalind Ross and LaNeishea Caufield scored 16 points each to lead Oklahoma to an 88-83 overtime victory over Oklahoma State on Saturday night.
With the victory, the Sooners won the Big 12 title, continued a school-record 13-game winning streak and swept the season series with their rival.
"All the pressure was on us tonight, and we played a little heavy like we were letting it weigh on us," Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale said. "But we still found a way to win. I think this shows our dimensions - the depth we have on this team."
Chantoya Hawkins almost spoiled Senior Night for the Sooners, who won their first conference title since winning the Big 8 in 1985-86.
Hawkins - who was celebrating her 20th birthday - connected on five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 26 points in leading an Oklahoma State comeback that fell just a few points short.
"(Chantoya) was unbelievable," Coale said. "She was in a zone and she kept giving O-State life. Give O-State credit, they were loose and ready to play."
The Sooners were sluggish at the beginning, but used a 15-2 run to take an 11-point lead with just over five minutes left in the first half. Oklahoma's Stacey Dales scored seven points during that stretch, as Oklahoma took advantage of five straight Oklahoma State turnovers.
The Sooners led 36-28 at halftime.
Hawkins hit a 3-pointer and Terrisha Osborn scored five straight points during a 12-0 run that put Oklahoma State on top 72-70 with 1:35 remaining.
"Before the game, we said we were going to leave everything on the floor tonight," Hawkins said. "I just wanted to play my best. The adrenaline was pumping and I felt good on all of my shots."
Rosalind Ross made two free throws with 25.4 seconds remaining in regulation to put the Sooners ahead 74-72. After a turnover by Oklahoma, Oklahoma State threw the ball in from halfcourt with 1.4 seconds left.
OSU's Trisha Skibbe caught the pass and banked home a 5-footer at the buzzer to force overtime. In overtime, Oklahoma shot 5-of-6 from the foul line down the stretch to seal it.
Jadrea Seeley finished with 15 points, while Dales had 14 and seven assists for Oklahoma.
The crowd of 9,672 was the largest crowd to watch an Oklahoma women's basketball game. The largest crowd - 10,713 - was on Dec. 29, 1999, when Oklahoma hosted then-No. 1 Connecticut.
