NORMAN – University of Oklahoma head women's basketball coach
Jennie Baranczyk announced the signing of former five-star prospect and Norman native Keeley Parks on Monday.
Parks, a 5-11 guard, spent her freshman season at Kansas and arrives in Norman as a rising sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining. Prior to her time in Lawrence, Parks starred at Norman High School, earning Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year honors twice and ranking as the No. 16 overall player in the 2025 class by USA Today Sports and No. 31 by ESPN.
In 16 games as a freshman, Parks averaged 5.1 points and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 34% from 3-point range.
"We're thrilled to welcome Keeley back home to Norman," Baranczyk said. "She's one of the top players to come out of this state and brings a special level of talent and competitiveness. She's a perfect fit for our program on and off the court, and I know Sooner Nation is going to love everything she brings to Oklahoma."
A three-time Adidas All-American, Parks was one of the most decorated prospects in state history. She led Norman High School to a state runner-up finish in 2023 and a semifinal appearance in 2025. As a senior, she averaged 25.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 5.1 steals and 3.6 assists per game, guiding the Lady Tigers to a 25-3 record. A MaxPreps All-American and two-time Oklahoma Super 5 Player of the Year, Parks finished her prep career as Norman High School's all-time leading scorer with 1,859 points.
At Kansas, Parks appeared in 16 games with nine starts, including three in Big 12 play before her final appearance on Jan. 11. She posted standout performances against Oral Roberts and Missouri State with 11 points in each contest, knocking down three 3-pointers in both games. Against an undefeated Iowa State team, she scored nine points and went a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
Parks comes from a basketball family. She is the younger sister of Mikayla Parks, who will enter her senior season at Kansas State in 2026-27. Her parents, Frankie and Melissa, both played college basketball, and her father currently serves as an assistant coach at Southern Nazarene and was on the coaching staff at Norman High School for 11 years.
Parks joins an Oklahoma program coming off back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances under Baranczyk, a national coach of the year semifinalist. The Sooners were ranked No. 18 in ESPN's early 2026-27 poll, which did not account for transfer additions.
Fans can place a $25 deposit for 2026-27 season tickets now, with additional information to be announced.
