Softball Team Wins A Pair Of Games In Fall Festival

NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma softball team easily won a pair of games against Oklahoma Christian (6-1) and Oklahoma Baptist (13-1) Saturday in the second day of its annual Fall Festival. OU's game with the Bison went only five innings due to the eight-run rule.
In the first game against OCU, the Sooners trailed, 1-0, before answering with five runs in the top of the fourth inning. Senior Christy Ring hit a two-run double to highlight the inning for Oklahoma. Freshman Christina Enea collected three hits and seniors Jennifer Stewart and Angela Wedlake combined on a two-hitter. Stewart picked the victory.
Oklahoma scored three runs in the top of first inning against Oklahoma Baptist and never looked back. The Sooners scored in bunches (three in the fourth inning and six in the fifth) and was led by Enea, who went 3-for-4 with five runs batted in. Other OU standouts in its second game include Ring (5-for-5) and sophomore pitcher Adrienne Ratliff. The Claremore, Okla., native limited the Bison to two hits and one unearned run in five innings of work.
The Sooners will conclude its Fall Festival on Sunday with a doubleheader against Connors State College. Game times are set for noon and 2 p.m.
