The Sooner men and women will travel to Stillwater to compete in the OSU Cowboy Jamboree this Saturday. The women's race will be a 5K event and will begin at 9:10 a.m.
The Sooner men will be competing along with 13 other NCAA Division I schools. The field includes hosts OSU, Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Kansas, Sam Houston State, Southern Methodist, Southwest Missouri State, Texas Christian, Texas Tech, Texas, Tulsa, and Wichita State. The women's field will include OU, host OSU, Baylor, Kansas, Southern Methodist, Southwest Missouri State, Texas Christian, Texas Tech, Tulsa, and Wichita State.
The Lineup for the SMU Invitational
Competing for the Sooner women will be Alaina Dearman, Sinead Holt, Corrie Hussar, Sara Justice, Jenny Ledford, Amanda Luksetich, Abby Nutter, Kelli O' Rourke, Jennifer Stader, Aishia Stringer, Kim Thomas, and Stephanie Webb. Running for the Sooner men will be Simon Brewer Jason Brown, Jeremiah Smith, Trevor Gillum, Sam Stalcup, Darren Hutchins, Marco Torres, Jarod Kelly, Forrest Walker, Brandon Kissack, Phillip Gordon, Jimmy Martinez, Joey McNair Cecil Rose and Freddie Stephens.
Last Week
Brandon Kissack continued his string of strong performances with a fifth-place individual performance at the SMU Run-On. Brandon turned in a time of 25:55.27. That time marked the first time in Kissack's career for him to post a sub-26:00.00 time in the 8K. Three other Sooners, Cecil Rose (27:41.46), Joey McNair (28:16.86) and Forrest Walker (28:54.07), posted career-best marks for an 8K race.
The women have been lead by a different runner in the last three meets. Stephanie Webb took the honors at SMU with a 19:07.74, good for a 12th-place individual showing. Career-best marks were posted by Aisha Stringer (19:50.49), Amanda Lukesetich (20:10.23) and Alaina Dearman (20:40.95).

OU will take next weekend off from competition. The Sooners will return to competition on October 14 when they travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Chili Pepper Invitational. That meet will mark the final race before the Big 12 Championships to be held Oct. 28 in Boulder.
