OKLAHOMA CITY - Friday night's Women's College World Series games at Don E. Porter Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Okla., were suspended due to a threat of severe weather and are scheduled to resume Saturday morning.

Top-seeded Washington and fourth-seeded UCLA were in the bottom of the fifth inning when play was suspended. UCLA owns a 3-0 lead but Washington will start Saturday with runners on second and third base with one out and Jenny Topping at the plate.

The Oklahoma/Southern Mississippi game, which was scheduled to start at 8:30 Friday night, will begin Saturday following the conclusion of the Washington/UCLA affair. The third-seeded Sooners beat sixth-seeded California Thursday, 2-1, while seventh-seeded Southern Mississippi beat second-seeded Arizona, 1-0, on the strength of Courtney Blades' perfect game.

Saturday's four originally scheduled games will be played following the two morning games.
