OU Fall Festival Softball Tournament Canceled Due To Inclement Weather

JENKS, Okla. - The OU Fall Festival, a scheduled three-day five-team softball tournament at the Jenks Rodeo Grounds in Jenks, was canceled after Friday's action due to inclement weather.

The University of Oklahoma run-ruled Northern Oklahoma, 8-0, in five innings Friday. The Sooners were paced offensively by sophomore Macey Wilson, who hit a home run and a double. Freshmen Kelli Braitsch and Jennifer Stump added a double each and while catcher Ashli Barrett tripled.

Senior Lana Moran earned the victory with three shutout innings while sophomore Jennifer Stewart pitched two shutout frames in relief. Moran and Stewart combined to hold Northern Oklahoma to two hits.

Oklahoma finished the game with eight runs on 11 hits and one error, while Northern Oklahoma committed four errors in the losing effort.
