NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma softball team finished with a 4-0 record in the OU Fall Festival with two victories Saturday at the OU Softball Complex in Norman, Okla. The Sooners, who run-ruled both of their opponents today, defeated Connors College, 13-0, and Northern Oklahoma, 11-1.
In the win over Connors College, OU pounded out 16 hits in 29 at-bats. Freshman first baseman Jennifer Stump led the Sooners with a 2-of-4 effort at the plate with five RBIs, including a home run. Sophomore designated player Macey Wilson contributed three hits in four plate appearances with two RBIs.
Freshman Kourtney Davis, who earned the victory, combined with senior Lana Moran on a one-hitter. Davis struck out six and walked none in four innings pitched.
In the victory over Northern Oklahoma, OU was led by Andrea Davis. The junior knocked in three RBIs on two hits in three plate appearances. Wilson added two hits and three RBIs. Moran got the victory allowing one hit, a solo home run by Northern Oklahoma's Chris Griffith in the second, in four innings pitched.
