Kala Ibarra enters her fourth season as OU Wrestling’s director of operations in 2021-22, overseeing the teams’ travel and operations, as well as other day-to-day responsibilities.
Ibarra joined the program in November 2018 after a six-month internship as the Brand Development Intern at USA Wrestling, acting as the onsite graphic designer and overseeing the internal usage of the USAW brand.
Prior to Ibarra’s time at USA Wrestling, the McHenry, Ill., native worked with West Virginia University’s wrestling team as the operations assistant while earning her bachelor's degree in sport management.
Ibarra was also a communications intern at USA Wrestling in 2017.
