Billy De La Espriella serves as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Oklahoma volleyball and wrestling programs. He is responsible for design, oversight, and implementation of all training and sports performance development for the programs.

Prior to Oklahoma, De La Espriella served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Florida, where he was responsible for implementation of training for menās and womenās track and field, menās and womenās swim, and womenās lacrosse. In this position, De La Espriella contributed to two track and field national championships and five conference championships between sports.

Before his stint at UF, De La Espriella was a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Northern Arizona University while pursuing his masterās in educational leadership with a higher education and community college focus, where he worked with menās and womenās cross country and distance runners and menās and womenās tennis. During his time at NAU, the teams he worked with won six conference championships and trained multiple individual national champions, as well as menās cross country winning a national championship.

De La Espriella earned his bachelorās in applied exercise science with a human performance focus from Springfield College. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, De La Espriella played menās volleyball and was part of the 2017 and 2018 National Championship teams.

De La Espriella has been a member of the NSCA and has had his CSCS since 2019. He additionally has his USAW Level 1 certification.
