COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 2 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team opened SEC action with a 197.425-196.925 win over No. 7 Missouri Friday night inside Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Mo.

The Sooners returned to Missouri for the first time since 2012 and improved to 29-0 against the Tigers since 2004 with the win.

Fatta rebounded from her fall on bars to add a 9.90 on a strong Yurchenko 1.5. In the No. 3 spot, Wells added a 9.925 followed by another 9.925 and career high for Estep. Torrez added another strong 1.5 for a 9.9 and Pederson anchored with a 9.80.

A consistent floor rotation had OU ahead 147.950-147.500 after three. Kelsey Slade led off with a 9.800, followed by a 9.875 in the floor debut of Murphy. Kamila Pawlak notched a 9.800 in the No. 3 spot while Fatta added a 9.875 of her own. Another strong performance from Estep in the No. 5 spot earned the freshman a 9.875 and Elle Mueller anchored with a 9.850.

Closing out the meet on beam, the Sooners secured the victory behind a 49.475 on the apparatus. Fatta started the final rotation strong with a 9.90 after a gorgeous routine and a stuck dismount. Wells was solid and steady in the No. 2 spot for a 9.90 of her own. Murphy's elegant lines were on display as she matched her career high with a 9.925 as she nailed her dismount. Pederson added a 9.80 in the No. 5 spot. After a fall in the No. 5 spot, Torrez secured the victory with another beautiful beam routine for a 9.95 in the anchor spot.
