Sooners Unveil 2025-26 Wrestling Schedule

August 15, 2025 | Wrestling

NORMAN — University of Oklahoma head wrestling coach Roger Kish announced the Sooners' 2025-26 schedule Friday.

The 16-meet regular season is highlighted by eight duals against teams that finished in the top 25 at the 2025 NCAA Championships, including a marquee early-season road matchup against four-time defending national champion Penn State at historic Rec Hall in University Park, Pa.

"We're really looking forward to the upcoming season," Kish said. "We've added a lot of new faces who bring a strong mix of proven talent and veteran leadership. Our regular season schedule is going to be challenging, which will put us in a great position to prepare for both the Big 12 Championship and NCAA Championships."

Oklahoma opens the season on Nov. 9 at the Tiger Style Invite before a two-dual road trip at Penn State (Nov. 14) and Bucknell (Nov. 15).

The home opener is set for Nov. 23 against Indiana at McCasland Field House, which will be the official home to OU's home duals in the 2025-26 season for the 98th year.

OU will head to Las Vegas for the Cliff Keen Invitational from Dec. 5-6, marking the program's first appearance at the prestigious tournament since 2021.

The Sooners continue their East Coast road trip with duals at Rutgers (Dec. 13) and Rider (Dec. 14) before closing out the month by hosting Duke, SIU Edwardsville, and Long Island in a quad dual on Dec. 21.

Big 12 competition begins with the 190th edition of Bedlam wrestling at Oklahoma State on Jan. 11. Conference play continues the following week with a split slate – hosting Air Force on Jan. 16 before traveling to West Virginia on Jan. 18.

A three-dual homestand follows, with Iowa State (Jan. 30), Northern Iowa (Jan. 31), and Arizona State (Feb. 8) all visiting McCasland Field House.

Oklahoma closes out the regular season with road duals at Missouri (Feb. 13) and Wyoming (Feb. 15).

The Big 12 Championship, which will be held March 6-7, return to Tulsa, Okla., and the BOK Center for the 10th consecutive season.

The 2026 NCAA Championships, slated for March 19-21, will be held at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

Season ticket packages, which include tickets for all of the Sooners' home duals, cost $47 and are on sale now. All season ticket holders will receive general admission tickets for each home match. Season ticket holders will also receive the first chance to get postseason tickets to cheer on the Sooners to a Big 12 Championship.
