Wrestling Lands Seven on Academic All-Big 12 Team

NORMAN – Seven members of the Oklahoma wrestling team were named to the Winter 2025 Academic All-Big 12 Team, the conference announced Tuesday.

Seniors Antonio Lorenzo, Mosha Schwartz, Seth Seago, Ryder Wiese and Jacob Zimmer, along with juniors Tate Picklo and Mannix Morgan, earned the academic honor.

To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.20 or higher either cumulatively or over the two previous semesters and must have competed in at least 20% of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are ineligible during their first year of academic residence. Seniors who have competed for at least two years and meet all requirements except participation percentage may also qualify.

Under second-year head coach Roger Kish, at least seven Sooners have earned the honor each season, with 15 total recognized during his tenure.

In total, 657 student-athletes were named to the Winter Academic All-Big 12 Team, including 104 wrestlers.
