NORMAN – Eight University of Oklahoma softball players have earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Central Region honors, the organization announced Saturday.
Rylie Boone,
Alyssa Brito,
Jayda Coleman,
Kinzie Hansen,
Tiare Jennings and
Kelly Maxwell each earned First Team honors,
Alynah Torres garnered second-team accolades and
Ella Parker added third-team recognition. The eight OU all-region honorees pace the Central Region.
Oklahoma's eight recipients match the program's all-time record and marks the fifth season in which the program has had that many honorees.
Brito, Coleman, Jennings and Maxwell each become four-time all-region honorees, Hansen earned her third nod, Boone and Torres both add their second career selection and Parker is a first-time recipient.
A whopping 153 Sooners have earned NFCA All-Region honors under head coach
Patty Gasso while the eight selections in 2024 push the program's total number of selections to 169.
