Sooner Softball Releases Complete 2026 Schedule

NORMAN — Oklahoma Softball announced its complete 2026 season schedule Friday, Nov. 14, with the upcoming slate featuring games against 14 teams that were in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The Sooners released their Southeastern Conference (SEC) schedule in September as Oklahoma returns for its second year in the league after winning both the SEC Regular Season and Co-Tournament Titles in 2025.
OU will play games against nine teams that finished in the final 2025 Top 25 rankings, including Texas, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU, Duke and Oklahoma State. OU will play road series against Texas and Ole Miss, both of which advanced to the 2025 Women's College World Series (WCWS).
OU's season begins in Arizona as the Sooners play Arizona State in Tempe Feb. 5. The next day the Sooners travel south to Tucson for the Candrea Classic Feb. 6-8 as Oklahoma takes on Utah State, Howard and host Arizona.
A February out in the desert continues the following weekend when OU goes to Las Cruces, N.M., for games against Montana, Idaho State, New Mexico State and Minnesota. The weekend concludes at El Paso against UTEP Feb. 15.
OU returns to the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs, Calif., Feb. 19-21 for six games across three days. During the stay the Sooners face Cal State Fullerton, San Diego State, Duke, California, Long Beach State and Washington.
The first weekend at Love's Field begins Feb. 27 and goes through Mar. 1 against Sam Houston State and Southeastern Louisiana.
The second of four trips to the state of Texas comes March 3 when the Sooners go to Denton, Texas to take on North Texas.
The longest home stretch of the season, running March 6-15, starts with the Okana Invitational March 6-8 against Abilene Christian and and Louisiana. The final tune-up before SEC play comes at home March 11 against Tulsa. The SEC season opens two days later with a series against Auburn March 13-15 in Norman.
A key eight-game swing along the Mississippi River starts at Memphis with a doubleheader March 18. From there the Sooners go to Ole Miss for the first time March 20-22 and later to LSU March 27-29.
The final third of the regular season starts with a midweek matchup against Wichita State at home March 31.
OU's Thursday to Saturday league series sees Kentucky at Love's Field for the first time April 2-4. Oklahoma's Red River Rivalry series is set for April 10-12 in Austin, leading into the Sooners' Bedlam Game April 15 at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
The regular season home slate finishes with a six-game home stand as the Sooners host Arkansas April 17-19 and Georgia April 24-26. The final series of the regular season sees OU and Texas A&M meet in College Station April 30-May 2 in a rematch of the 2025 SEC Tournament Championship Game that was canceled due to rain.
The SEC Tournament heads to Lexington, Ky., May 5-10. NCAA Regionals follow May 15-17 and NCAA Super Regionals are set for May 22-24.
The 2026 Women's College World Series gets underway May 28 and runs through June 4-5.
OU went 17-7 in the SEC in 2025, finishing first in the conference before earning a share of the tournament title with wins against LSU and Arkansas in the conference tournament. Oklahoma returns 13 players from last year's WCWS team, including 2025 All-Americans Ella Parker, Kasidi Pickering and Gabbie Garcia. OU's newcomers feature pitchers Sydney Berzon and Miali Guachino as well as the number one recruiting class in the 2025 signing period.
All eight of OU's SEC opponents played in last year's NCAA Tournament, with two of them advancing to the WCWS.
