NORMAN - The NCAA Wrestling Championships selection committee revealed the brackets and seeds for the 2024 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships on Wednesday evening. Oklahoma will send five wrestlers to the tournament, scheduled to be held at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City from March 21-23.
Stephen Buchanan was the lone Sooner to earn a top-10 seed, clocking in at No. 8 in the 197-pound bracket. Oklahoma heavyweight
Josh Heindselman joined Buchanan in earning a top-15 seed, representing OU as the No. 11 seed in the 285-pound bracket. The redshirt senior and Piedmont, Okla., native is set to compete in his fourth NCAA Wrestling Championships event.
The trio of
Jace Koelzer (No. 29 at 133 pounds),
Willie McDougald (No. 21 at 149 pounds) and
Jared Hill (No. 28 at 157 pounds) rounded out the Sooner seeding for the national tournament.
