OU tied things up in the second set with a 25-17 victory. The Sooners hit .438 in the set with 19 kills, including nine from Gibson. With the match tied at 8-8, a 5-0 run from the Sooners made it 13-8 and gave OU a lead it would not relinquish. OU pushed ahead 19-10 for its largest lead, before three-straight kills from Gibson closed it out.

Down 18-9 in the third, the Sooners fought their way back to pull within three at 23-20 before Arkansas took the set 25-21. In the final set, the Sooners held a 16-14 lead, before an 11-5 run by the Razorbacks clinched the match.

The Sooners will hit the road for a three-game swing, beginning with a visit to LSU on Friday, Oct. 11. OU will then head to Georgia and South Carolina before returning to Norman on Oct. 23 for a match-up with Alabama.
