ROAD WARRIORS
The Sooners played their entire non-conference slate away from the friendly confines on McCasland Field House. Despite being on the road for four straight weekends, the Sooners finished non-conference action 6-2, with their only losses to TCU and UCSB. In SEC play, the Sooners will be on the road for eight of their 16 matches, including a three-game road swing that begins with LSU Friday night.

WELCOME TO THE BLOCK PARTY
The Sooners defense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, recording at least eight blocks in 10 matches this season. Against Tulsa on Sept. 13, the Sooners put up an impressive 20.0 blocks, the most by a Sooner squad since tallying 19.0 against Kansas State in 2020. OU has recorded at least 7.0 blocks in every match this year and reached the double-digit mark on five occasions. The Sooners are second in the SEC in blocks per set with 2.67.

STATS & RANKINGS
Despite their record, the Sooners are statistically one of the top teams in the SEC. OU ranks second in blocks per set (2.67), third in assists per set (13.26) and fourth in kills (13.74/set) and hitting percentage (.278). Lydia Martyn ranks eighth in blocks/set (1.19) and KJ Burgess is 10th with 1.11.

STELLAR SHELTON
After missing the final two matches of the 2023 season due to injury, junior Alexis Shelton has picked up where she left off, recording double-digit kills in every match this season. Shelton has now recorded 17 consecutive matches with double-digit kills going back to the 2023 season. In her last 37 games, she has reached the double-digit kill mark on 33 occasions. The junior has notched three 20-plus kill games this season and recorded 15 kills or more in nine matches. Shelton also ranks second on the team in digs with 100 and third in blocks with 42, proving herself to be quite the all-around player.
