NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the Texas Tech Open, held at Chaparral Ridge Cross Country Course in Lubbock, Texas, Friday morning.
The OU men will compete in an 8K at 9 a.m. CT and the women will run a 6K at 9:40 a.m. CT. Oklahoma will feature six men's runners and seven women's runners.
The Sooners look to build off their performance at the Cowboy Preview on Sept. 1 in Stillwater, Okla. The men's squad placed fourth and the women's team finished fifth.
Oklahoma returns to Lubbock after a successful showing at the 2022 Texas Tech Open. The OU women secured first in the 6K run, while the men's team earned a second-place finish in the 8K.
Junior
Colin Caso recorded an 8th place finish at the meet and senior
Fernando Morales secured 18th on the men's side. Sophomore
Erin O'Brien finished 8th, followed by junior
Gabi Barrera at 10th for the Oklahoma women.
