Oklahoma dropped its final dual of the regular season to No. 6 Oklahoma State, 26-6, on Thursday night in Stillwater.
The Sooners (9-8, 2-6 Big 12) won the Bedlam dual's first bout, but Oklahoma State (14-2, 8-1 Big 12) claimed eight of the nine remaining matches to clinch the win.
Opening the dual with a win, No. 30 Joey Prata cruised past No. 28 Reece Witcraft 7-2 in the 125-pound battle. After a scoreless first period, Prata racked up four points via near fall followed by a takedown at the end of the second period.
Oklahoma's next win came at 165 pounds as No. 14 Gerrit Nijenhuis jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first to win the bout 10-6. With the win, Nijenhuis earned his second consecutive top-25 victory.
No. 28 Wyatt Henson dropped the 133-pound bout to undefeated No. 2 Daton Fix 15-6. At 141 pounds, No. 7 Mosha Schwartz fell short to No. 15 Carter Young, 5-3, to break his 11-dual winning streak. At 149 pounds, No. 20 Mitch Moore lost to No. 19 Victor Voinovich, 2-0. Next at 157 pounds, Jacob Butler fell to No. 9 Kaden Gfeller 14-3. At 184 pounds, Keegan Moore fell short 7-4 to No. 10 Travis Wittlake. Against his former high school teammate, Carson Berryhill battled but came up short vs. No. 17 Luke Surber, 4-1, in the 197-pound match. In the final bout of the night, No. 15 Josh Heindselman was downed by No. 22 Konner Doucet 2-1 in TB-1 at 285 pounds.
Oklahoma will regroup and return to the mat for the Big 12 Wrestling Championships at BOK Center in Tulsa on Saturday and Sunday, March 4-5. The Sooners have won 24 conference championships, including a team title in 2021.
