NORMAN — Oklahoma will look to move closer to a berth at the Big 12 Tournament on Thursday when it hosts Texas at John Crain Field in Norman. First touch is set for 7:05 p.m. on ESPN+.
The Sooners enter the week 10th in the Big 12 standings with eight points. They're two points clear of Houston, and just three points from moving into seventh. The top-10 teams in the league's standings following the regular season (3 games remaining) qualify for the conference tournament in Round Rock, Texas.
To claim three points, OU would need to beat Texas for the first time in seven tries as the Sooners' last win vs. the Horns came on Oct. 23, 2015 when OU won 2-1 in Austin. The Sooners haven't knocked off UT in Norman since 2005.
FOR THE FANS
Thursday's game starts at 7 p.m. CT at John Crain Field. The contest will be available on ESPN+.
The first 50 fans at the game will get a free ice cream sandwich courtesy of head coach
Matt Mott. Oklahoma will give OU Soccer scarves to the first 500 fans at John Crain Field and the game is OU's Crimson Out, as fans are encouraged to wear crimson.
