⢠Oklahoma (19-12) takes a break from conference play this weekend, and will face Pacific (11-20) twice and Lamar (20-13) once in a three-game set Thursday through Saturday at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The Sooners will play Pacific at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Lamar at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Pacific again at 11 a.m. Saturday.Ā
⢠OU's Saturday contest was moved up from its originally listed 2 p.m. time to accommodate for Pacific's travel plans. Lamar and Pacific will play each other at 2 p.m. Friday.

ā¢Ā Tickets are available via SoonerSports.com. The L. Dale Mitchell Park ticket office and entrance gates will open 60 minutes prior to the scheduled game time. The ticket office and will call windows are located behind home plate, along W. Imhoff Rd.
ā¢Ā Friday is Superhero Day. The first 500 fans through the gates can receive a free superhero cape.
ā¢Ā On Saturday, OU will hold an egg hunt before the game. The egg hunt, featuring OU baseball prizes, tickets, candy and more, will begin at 10:15 a.m. First pitch for the game is 11 a.m.Ā

⢠Through the first eight weeks of the season (31 games), the Sooners are 13-9 against the RPI top 100, including six top-50 wins (6-8) and six top-25 wins (6-5). OU's overall strength of schedule is ranked second in the country while its non-conference SOS is ranked sixth nationally.
⢠Tuesday's win over No. 4 Texas Tech concluded a nine-game stretch (March 29-April 12) in which the Sooners played eight games against opponents ranked among the top-8 nationally. OU went 5-4 during that stretch (4-4 vs. ranked foes).
⢠Oklahoma is hitting .288 as a team and averaging 6.3 runs, 9.3 hits and 2.8 extra base hits per game (55 doubles, 24 home runs). The pitching staff has compiled a 5.52 ERA, 283 strikeouts to 118 walks and 288 hits in 277.1 innings and has allowed a .266 opponent batting average.
⢠Pacific is hitting .270 as a team. The Tigers average 5.7 runs, 9.4 hits and 3.2 extra base hits per game (68 doubles, 28 home runs). The pitching staff has compiled a 6.85 ERA, 222 strikeouts to 155 walks and 3000 hits in 268.0 innings and has allowed a .280 opponent batting average.
⢠Lamar is hitting .283 as a team. The Cardinals average 6.4 runs, 9.9 hits and 2.9 extra base hits per game (63 doubles, 22 home runs). The pitching staff has compiled a 4.85 ERA, 290 strikeouts to 125 walks and 306 hits in 291.1 innings and has allowed a .269 opponent batting average.
⢠Oklahoma is in its fifth season under the direction of head coach
Skip Johnson (including the 2020 season that was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Johnson, who spent the 2017 season on staff as an assistant coach, has led the Sooners to a 131-92 record since taking over as head coach prior to the 2018 season.

⢠Lamar leads the overall series against Oklahoma, 8-6. The teams last met in 2006, splitting games held in Houston (OU win) and Edinburgh, Texas (Lamar win).
⢠Oklahoma and Lamar have only played six of their 14 previous meetings on campus, including five in Norman. The Sooners won two of three games at L. ā¢Ā During the first 10 games of the season, Oklahoma scored a total of 35 runs (average of 3.5 per game). The Sooners have scored 161 runs during the last 21 games (7.7 per game). OU has scored at least seven runs in 16 of those 21 games.

Recapping the Last Week
ā¢Ā Oklahoma out-slugged Texas Tech 14-9 on a windy Tuesday night in Amarillo, Texas.
Brett Squires and
Blake Robertson each notched five hits and OU blasted five home runs in the game, held at Hodgetown, home of the Amarillo Sod Poodles.
ā¢Ā Squires went 5 for 5 with four RBIs and two home runs while Robertson went 5 for 6 with three RBIs and a homer. Both players tallied their first homers of the season on Tuesday.
Jimmy Crooks also drove in four runs, going 2 for 4 with a home run and two walks.
Peyton Graham hit his ninth home run of the season and scored three runs.

Braden Carmichael allowed just one hit and struck out three over 4.0 innings in the start.
Trevin Michael, the last of six relievers, pitched the final two innings and struck out three.
ā¢Ā The Red Raiders struck first with a two-run home run in the second inning, but the Sooners scored 11 runs in the middle innings, including four each in the fourth and fifth frames, to take an 11-6 lead. Tech cut the lead to 11-9 before OU picked up three more runs in the eighth inning. The teams combined for 23 runs and 27 hits.
ā¢Ā Friday night, Oklahoma scored two runs in the ninth inning to defeat OSU, just as it had done on March 29. Robertson provided the hit that scored the tying run and
Sebastian Orduno drove in the winning run with an RBI single. The game ended on a caught stealing when Crooks fired to
Jackson Nicklaus at second base. The bullpen combo of
Colton Sundloff,
Carter Campbell and Michael allowed just two hits over 4.0 shutout innings.
ā¢Ā On Saturday, the Sooners scored three runs in the third inning to tie the game, then broke the tie with four runs in the top of the seventh. OSU, however, scored a run in the seventh, three in the eighth and won the game in the bottom of the ninth. The Cowboys took an 8-0 lead on Sunday, before the Sooners picked up three runs in the seventh inning and added another in the ninth on Graham's eighth home run of the season.
Base Snatchers
ā¢Ā The Sooners have registered 68 stolen bases in 87 attempts through 31 games this season. OU surpassed its total from all of last year (46 steals) in the 18th game of this season. The last time Oklahoma completed a season with at least 65 steals was in 2011 (79).
ā¢Ā Oklahoma ranks 11th nationally in stolen bases (68) and 12th in steals per game (2.2). Both figures rank second in the Big 12, only to West Virginia's 106 steals and average of 3.4 steals per game.

Kendall Pettis, who led OU with seven steals in 2021, already has a team-high 12 stolen bases.
Tanner Tredaway (six steals last year) and

ā¢Ā OU's most steals over the last 12 seasons was 98, in 2010. The Sooners registered 56 steals in 2016, 62 in 2013 and 79 steals in 2011.
ā¢Ā Oklahoma went off for 11 steals against Wichita State on Feb. 22. Three players ā Graham, Pettis and Tredaway ā each had three stolen bases in the game. Graham notched three steals again vs. Texas on April 2. It was the fourth time a single player has registered three steals in a single game this season.
ā¢Ā Prior to Feb. 22, no single Sooner had stolen three bases in a game since Erik Ross against Hartford in 2012. Oklahoma (3-1) finished the Wichita State game one steal shy of the school record of 12, set in 1937 against East Central (Okla.) University.
