NORMAN – Following a historic season where she set the Oklahoma and Big 12 record for career 3-pointers,
Taylor Robertson has been selected as an Associated Press All-America honorable mention.
The senior sharpshooter is the first Sooner to collect an All-America honor since Aaryn Ellenberg was an honorable mention selection in 2014. Robertson is the 10th Sooner all-time to earn an All-America selection. The Ann Meyers Drysdale finalist, which is given annually to the nation's best shooting guard, leads the country in made 3-pointers this year with 117, becoming the first player in Big 12 history to post three seasons of 100+ 3-pointers in their career. Her 17.0 points per game this season rank fifth in the Big 12 and she added career-high numbers in rebounds (4.7) and assists (3.1) to land a team-high 8.1 win shares in 2021-22.
The McPherson, Kan., product also leads the country in points per-scoring-attempt and ranks second nationally in offensive rating boasting a career-best 135.7 rating. She is the fourth player in NCAA history to shoot at a 45% clip from deep in a season while attempting more than 250 3-pointers. In addition, Robertson is the nation's active career leader in free throw percentage, sinking an incredible 92.4% on her career and a blistering 94.4% in 2021-22.
A unanimous All-Big 12 selection in 2022, Robertson adds the All-America honor to her growing list of career accolades. She is a two-time finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, a four-time Big 12 player of the week, a 2021 All-Big 12 Second Team honoree and a two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection. Her 432 career 3-pointers are third among active players and sixth in NCAA history. The guard broke the Oklahoma record on Dec. 21, 2021, passing Aaryn Ellenberg with 377 career makes and then passed Laurie Koehn's Big 12 record of 392 on Jan. 12.
