NORMAN – Two Oklahoma men's basketball student-athletes were named to a 2022 Academic All-Big 12 Team on Tuesday.

Blake Seacat was named to the first team and Umoja Gibson to the second team. Both were honored for the first time in their Oklahoma careers.

Seacat, a junior from Tulsa, Okla., is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in management.

Gibson, a senior that has started all 27 games for the Sooners this season, is working on a Master of Arts degree in organization leadership. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in multidisciplinary studies in August 2021.

First Team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests.
