NORMAN – (RV/RV) Oklahoma (9-2, 0-0 Big 12) welcomes Alcorn State (1-10, 0-0 SWAC) for its final home non-conference game of the season and final game of 2021 Wednesday, Dec. 22 at Lloyd Noble Center.
The Sooners last played Sunday, Dec. 19 and beat UT Arlington 70-50. OU earned the wire-to-wire victory over the Mavericks and were led by Umoja Gibon's team highs in points (14) and rebounds (8).
In addition to Gibson, Tanner Groves (13) and Jalen Hill (12) each finished in double figures.

SCOUTING THE BRAVES
- Alcorn State (1-10) last played Monday, Dec. 20 and lost to No. 1 Baylor 97-54.
- The Braves earned their lone victory of the season at Milwaukee Nov. 28. Paul King finished with a team-high 18 points. Dontrell McQuarter added 12 points on 6-for-8 shooting and Lenell Henry tallied a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds). Alcorn improved to 1-5.
- Alcorn State has yet to play a home game this season. The Braves opened with an exhibition against Xavier University of Louisiana in Lorman and don't play a regular season game at homes until Jan. 15 vs. Texas Southern.

- Oklahoma is ranked 40th in the NET rankings with a 3-1 record in the first two quads. OU is ranked sixth in the Big 12.
- Among major conferences, the Big 12 holds the lowest average NET ranking (36.5) and is the only conference will all teams ranked in the top 80.
IT STARTS WITH US ...
- Oklahoma receives 73.9% of its scoring from its starters. Tanner Groves is Oklahoma's team leader in points (161) and points per game (14.6). He leads the starting unit that all average 9.0-plus points per game.
- Against then-No. 12 Arkansas, all five starters finished in double figures and were led by Elijah Harkless' 21 points. It was the first game this season he has scored 20-plus points and only the fourth game a Sooner has 20-plus points this season. Groves has the other three games.
