6 Oklahoma
Oklahoma
7 Florida
Oklahoma State
Wednesday, Dec. 30 / 7 p.m. CT / Arlington, Texas

Opening Kick

• No. 6/8/7 Oklahoma (8-2, 6-2 Big 12) goes for its eighth consecutive win when it meets No. 7/10/10 Florida (8-3, 8-2 SEC) in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on Wednesday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. CT inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The game will be televised by ESPN with Joe Tessitore, Dusty Dvoracek and Holly Rowe announcing.

• This marks OU's sixth straight New Year's Six bowl appearance (2015 Orange, 2016 Sugar, 2017 Rose, 2018 Orange, 2019 Peach) and the first time since 2016 that it did not qualify for the College Football Playoff. The Sooners were CFP participants in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Only Alabama and Clemson have made more CFP appearances.

• The only two times in the past six seasons that OU did not qualify for the College Football Playoff it finished sixth (2020) and seventh (2016) in the CFP rankings.

• OU is 5-2 at AT&T Stadium and has won its last four contests there (Big 12 Championship games each of the last four years).

• This marks Oklahoma's 54th bowl appearance, tied for fourth most nationally. Thirty-nine of those 54 have come in bowls that comprise the current New Year's Six (Orange [20], Sugar [8], Fiesta [5], Cotton [3], Rose [2] and Peach [1]). The 39 does not include OU's BCS Championship Game appearance against Florida on Jan. 9, 2009.

• OU is making its 22nd consecutive bowl appearance, by far the longest streak in school history (the previous record was eight from the 1975-82 seasons under Barry Switzer). Beginning in Bob Stoops' 1999 debut season as head coach, it is the second-longest active streak in the nation (Georgia; 24) and the longest ever by a current Big 12 program.

• The Sooners own a 29-23-1 (.557) bowl record. Their 29 bowl wins are tied for the sixth most nationally.

• OU is 109-49-8 (.681) all-time against programs currently in the SEC.

• Oklahoma is 58-35-2 (.621) in AP top-10 matchups, and 19-10 (.655) since the start of the 2000 season. It is 38-20 (.655) as the higher ranked team in such games.

Lincoln Riley is 44-8 with the Sooners, a program record for wins by a fourth-year head coach. Bob Stoops, who went 43-9 (.827) in his first four seasons (1999-2002) held the previous standard. Riley's .846 career winning percentage is the best in OU history (College Football Hall of Famers Barry Switzer and Bud Wilkinson, and Stoops, a 2020 HOF nominee, finished with respective marks of .837, .826 and .798).

• Riley owns the OU records for wins by a head coach in a debut season (12; previous record was 10 by Switzer and Chuck Fairbanks), first two seasons (24; previous record was 21 by Switzer), first three seasons (36; previous record was 32 by Switzer) and first four seasons (44; previous record was 43 by Stoops).

• The Sooners have held their last four opponents (Kansas [9], Oklahoma State [13], Baylor [14] and Iowa State [21]) to a combined 57 points. The last time OU held Big 12 opponents to 57 or fewer points over a four-game stretch was in 2015 when it limited Kansas State (0), Texas Tech (27), Kansas (7) and Iowa State (16) to a total of 50. OU has also held its last four foes to an average of 303.8 yards per game.

• In the seven games since their Oct. 3 loss at Iowa State, the Sooners rank fourth among Power Five teams with their 43.6 points per game.

• OU has scored at least 27 points in a school-record 62 consecutive contests. The next longest streak nationally since at least 1980 is 31 by UCF (2017-19). The next longest active streak is 24 games by Alabama.

• Oklahoma has won 41 of its last 52 games away from Norman (79%).

KEY STORYLINES

• The Sooners have won seven games in a row, keeping with a years-long trend of late-season success. In each of the last six seasons, OU has won at least five consecutive games heading into its bowl contest (seven straight in 2015 [CFP], nine in 2016 [Sugar Bowl], eight in 2017 [CFP], seven in 2018 [CFP] and five last year [CFP]).

• Oklahoma has played seven games against SEC teams over the last eight seasons and has gone 4-3. OU scored at least 28 points in each of those seven contests and has averaged 37. The Sooners downed No. 3 Alabama 45-31 in the Sugar Bowl to end the 2013 season, beat Tennessee 34-10 in 2014 in Norman, outlasted No. 23 Tennessee 31-24 in double-overtime in 2015 in Knoxville, and handled No. 17 Auburn 35-19 in the Sugar Bowl to cap the 2016 season. Three years ago in the Rose Bowl (CFP semifinal), OU led No. 3 Georgia 31-17 at halftime but lost 54-48 in double-overtime, and two years ago the Sooners dropped a 45-34 contest to No. 1 Alabama in the Orange Bowl (CFP semifinal). Last season OU lost 63-28 to No. 1-ranked and eventual national champion LSU in the Peach Bowl (CFP semifinal).

• Oklahoma is one of two Power Five programs (Clemson is the other) that ranks in the top 20 nationally in both total offense and total defense. The Sooners average 475.8 yards per game to rank 18th in the country and give up 333.6 yards per contest to rank 20th. Florida ranks 10th in total offense (508.8) and 62nd in total defense (404.7).

• Florida entered bowl season with the country's No. 1 passing attack, averaging 388.4 yards per game and amassing 45 touchdowns, both good for the national lead. Senior quarterback Kyle Trask, who ranks first in passing offense (375.0 ypg) and passing TDs (43), will be facing an Oklahoma defense that ranks fourth in the country (among teams that have played more than four games) by averaging 3.6 sacks per game and that has registered more interceptions (13) than it has allowed TD passes (11). The Sooners have recorded at least one interception in each of their last five games and have 10 during the stretch (five in the last two outings). Redshirt junior defensive back Tre Norwood paces the team and is tied for the Big 12 lead with four picks, all coming over the last five contests.

• The Cotton Bowl will pit an Oklahoma defense that ranks third nationally (leads the Big 12) by allowing just 90.6 rushing yards per game against a Florida squad that ranks 109th by averaging 120.5 rushing yards per contest. The Sooners have permitted only one running back this season to rush for 100 yards or more (Iowa State's Breece Hall ran for 139 yards and two TDs on 28 carries against OU in October but was held to a season-low 79 yards [3.4 per carry] in the Dec. 19 Big 12 Championship). No other running back has rushed for more than 73 yards against the Sooners this season.

• Over the last four games, Oklahoma held Kansas, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Iowa State to a combined 50.3% pass completion rate and recorded eight interceptions. During the same span, OU allowed an average of just 77.8 rushing yards per game and just 2.4 yards per carry.

• OU registered six sacks over the season's first three games (2.0 average) but has 30 over the last seven contests (4.3 average) to lead the country since Oct. 10. Redshirt junior defensive lineman and second-team PFF All-American Isaiah Thomas (team-high 8.0) and redshirt sophomore outside linebacker and first-team PFF and second-team AP All-American Nik Bonitto (7.5; all over the last six games) have combined for 15.5 sacks. Bonitto ranks 16th in the country with his 0.83 sacks per game while Thomas ranks 23rd (0.80). Junior defensive end Ronnie Perkins, who missed the season's first five games but was still a third-team PFF All-American, has 5.5 sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss in his five outings (on 10-game pace for 11.0 and 19.0). He has at least 1.5 TFLs in all five games.

OU-FLORIDA HISTORY

• The only previous Oklahoma-Florida meeting was meaningful one, as the Gators topped the Sooners 24-14 in the BCS National Championship to cap the 2008 season. OU was No. 1 in the BCS rankings and No. 2 in the AP poll, while UF was No. 2 and No. 1, respectively.

• The game was tied 7-7 at half and 14-14 with 12 minutes left in the fourth before Florida made a field goal with 10:45 remaining and scored a touchdown with 3:07 to go to capture its third national title (second in three years).

• Twice in the second quarter the Sooners failed to score when they had the ball inside Florida's 10-yard line. They were stopped on rushes on third- and fourth-and-goal from the 1 midway through the quarter and a Sam Bradford pass from the UF 6 in the final minute of the half deflected off receiver Manuel Johnson and was intercepted.

• Bradford, who won OU's fifth Heisman Trophy that season, completed 26 of 41 passes for 256 yards for two touchdowns (both to tight end Jermaine Gresham) and had two interceptions. Gresham finished with eight catches for 62 yards while running back Chris Brown carried 22 times for 110 yards.

• Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, the 2007 Heisman winner, was 18 for 30 through the air for 231 yards and two scores. Percy Harvin rushed for 121 yards and a TD on nine carries.

• Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and defensive back Nic Harris recorded interceptions.

• OU set a modern era scoring record with its 716 points in 2008 and entered the contest by racking up more than 60 points in each of the five previous outings but was held to 363 yards and a season low in points (previous low was 35).

• Current Sooners running backs coach DeMarco Murray rushed for 1,002 yards (5.6 average) and 14 touchdowns in OU's first 13 games that season (also caught 31 passes for 395 yards and four more scores) but had to miss the contest due to injury. Murray earned first-team All-Big 12 honors that season and went on to be named the 2014 NFL Offensive Player of the Year as a member of the Dallas Cowboys while playing inside AT&T Stadium (site of this year's Cotton Bowl).

• Current Florida head coach Dan Mullen served as the Gators' offensive coordinator in the game. It was his last contest as a UF assistant coach, as he had been hired as Mississippi State head coach a month earlier.

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME

• Oklahoma and Clemson are each riding streaks of six outright conference championships. The last current Power Five program to win at least six straight outright league titles was Oklahoma when it claimed 12 Big Six/Seven crowns in a row under legendary Bud Wilkinson from 1948 to '59. (The Sooners also won nine consecutive Big Eight championships under head coaches Chuck Fairbanks [1972] and Barry Switzer [1973-80], but not all were outright).

Big 12 Champions

OU'S BIG 12 DOMINATION

• Oklahoma's Dec. 19 win over Iowa State resulted in the Sooners' sixth straight Big 12 championship and 14th since 2000 (no other program has won more than two during the span). For perspective, the two Power Five programs with the next most conference titles this millennium are Ohio State (11 in Big Ten) and Oregon (eight in Pac-10/Pac-12).

• OU's 14 Big 12 titles are 11 more than the program with the next most. Texas has won three Big 12 championships and is followed by Baylor, Kansas State and Nebraska (two each), and Colorado, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas A&M (one each).

• Since 2010, OU has won eight Big 12 titles and is followed by Baylor (two) and Kansas State, Oklahoma State and TCU (one each).

• The Sooners have as many Big 12 titles the last six seasons (six) as they have lost games against Big 12 opponents (51-6 record; includes four Big 12 Championship games).

• OU is 146-31 (.825) in regular season Big 12 play since the start of the 2000 season. That's 26 more wins than the program with the next most victories during that period (Texas; 120-57) and 46 more than the program with the third most (Oklahoma State; 100-78).

• Come Dec. 30, OU will have been Big 12 champ for 1,858 straight days.

• Oklahoma is the only program to win at least three straight Big 12 titles, and it has done so twice (2006-08 and 2015-20). Baylor (2013-14) is the only other program to win two Big 12 championships in a row.

• OU has won almost twice as many Big 12 Championship games (11) than any other program has made appearances (Texas and Nebraska have played in six Big 12 title games each).

• At 11-1, the Sooners are the only program with a winning record in Big 12 Championship games. Texas has the next best mark at 3-3.

• Over the last six years (since Lincoln Riley came to Norman as offensive coordinator), OU has posted a 47-6 (.887) record in regular season Big 12 play. The next best mark during the stretch is 34-20 (.630) by Oklahoma State.

MORE CONFERENCE TITLE TIDBITS

• Every OU freshman class from 1999-2019 has won at least one Big 12 championship and all but the 2011 freshman class has won at least two. The 2015, 2016 and 2017 freshman classes each won four Big 12 titles.

• OU leads the nation with its 50 all-time conference titles. It is followed by Nebraska (46), Michigan (42), Ohio State (39) and USC (37).

• This year's Oklahoma squad became the fifth in program history to win a conference title with two league losses. The other four occasions were in 1976 (5-2 in Big Eight; shared with Colorado and Oklahoma State) and 2002, 2007 and 2010 (6-2 in Big 12; won Big 12 Championship games). However, this is the first OU team to ever win a conference title after a 0-2 league start.

EFFECTIVE LOCKER ROOM SPEECHES

• Oklahoma has dominated the first quarter this season, outscoring Missouri State (31-0), Kansas State (7-0), Iowa State (10-3), Texas (10-0), TCU (10-0), Texas Tech (21-7), Kansas (14-0), Oklahoma State (21-7), Baylor (3-0) and Iowa State (7-0) by a combined 134-17 margin. The Sooners have limited opponents in their 10 games to 610 total yards (average of 61.0) in the opening 15 minutes.

• During its current seven-game winning streak, OU has outscored opponents 48-14 in the third quarter and has allowed just 338 total yards (average of 48.3) in the period. Texas (-9), TCU (-2), Texas Tech (8), Kansas (44), Oklahoma State (17), Baylor (-2) and Iowa State (34) combined for 90 rushing yards on 49 carries (1.8 yards per rush) in the third quarter.

Tre Norwood

"SPEED D" ON THE MOVE

• Hired in January 2019, Oklahoma defensive coordinator and safeties coach Alex Grinch, who was a 2019 Broyles Award semifinalist, has presided over a significant turnaround on the defensive side of the ball.

• Among teams that have played more than four games, Oklahoma ranks in the top 20 nationally in a bevy of categories. It is third in rushing defense (90.6 ypg), fourth in sacks per game (3.6), fifth in opponent third down conversion percentage (27.7), ninth in interceptions (13), 10th in pass efficiency defense (114.4 rating), 15th in tackles for loss per game (7.7), 17th in opponent first downs per game (17.7) and 20th in total defense (333.6 ypg).

• OU's 13 interceptions this year are already its most in a season since 2015 when it had 20 in 13 games.

• In 24 games under Grinch, OU has allowed 346.9 yards per outing. In the three seasons before his arrival in Norman (2016-18), the Sooners gave up 426.8 yards per contest.

• OU has allowed opponents to score on their opening drive of a game just four times in its 24 contests under Grinch (Oklahoma State and LSU touchdowns last season; Iowa State field goal [first meeting] and Texas Tech touchdown this year). Seventeen of the 24 opponent opening drives have lasted five plays or less.

• Since the start of the 2019 season, the Sooners rank third nationally in defensive third-down conversion percentage (30.2), 14th in rushing defense (116.0 ypg) and 25th in total defense (346.9 ypg).

• Over the last two seasons, Oklahoma has allowed only three opponent wide receivers to register at least 100 receiving yards in a game (Kansas' Stephon Robinson and LSU's Justin Jefferson last year; Iowa State's Xavier Hutchinson last game).

SNAKE IN THE GRASS

• Redshirt freshman Spencer Rattler, the consensus No. 1 quarterback in the 2019 recruiting class, threw for a state-record 11,083 yards (116 passing touchdowns) and ran for over 1,000 yards (14 TDs) in his career at Pinnacle High School in Phoenix, Ariz. The 2018 Elite 11 MVP was the No. 9 overall national recruit by 247Sports, No. 13 by Rivals and No. 29 by ESPN.

• Rattler is OU's fourth starting QB in four seasons. Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray won the Heisman Trophy in 2017 and 2018, respectively, while Jalen Hurts was the 2019 Heisman runner-up.

• Rattler appeared in three Oklahoma games last season, completing 7 of 11 passes for 81 yards and a touchdown without an interception. He also ran three times for 23 yards.

• A 2020 first-team All-Big 12 selection (AP) was also named the co-Big 12 newcomer of the year (AP), national freshman of the year (CBS Sports) and a Davey O'Brien Award semifinalist, Rattler leads the nation's freshmen in passing touchdowns (25), passing offense (278.4 ypg) and total offense (290.4 ypg). Among all players who have played more than four games, he ranks eighth in passing TDs, 10th in yards per pass attempt (9.5), 11th in pass efficiency rating (170.9), 14th in completion percentage (68.0), 15th in passing offense and 16th in yards per completion (14.1).

• Rattler has thrown for at least two TD passes in eight of 10 games (one vs. Kansas), has registered at least three TD passes in four contests and had four in the Missouri State, Kansas State and Oklahoma State outings.

• Rattler has been particularly effective in the first half of games, throwing for 1,835 yards (183.5 per first half) and 16 of his 25 TDs.

Marvin Mims

MIMS HAVING UNPRECEDENTED EARLY SUCCESS

• Only 10 games into his career, wide receiver Marvin Mims has already set the OU freshman record with his eight receiving touchdowns. Current NFL players Mark Andrews (2015; played in 13 games) and CeeDee Lamb (2017; played in 14 games) held the previous freshman record of seven TD receptions (see chart to the right).

• Mims, a second-team All-Big 12 selection by coaches and AP, leads the conference and is tied for 15th in the country with his eight touchdown grabs. No other freshman wide receiver nationally has more than six TD catches.

• Mims leads the team with 583 receiving yards and is tied for the lead with 36 catches. His seven receptions in the Big 12 title game win against Iowa State were a career high and his 101 receiving yards were his second-highest total.

• Mims' eight TD receptions have averaged 34.8 yards. Four have gone for at least 45 yards (45, 50, 58 and 61).

• Mims ranks eighth nationally with his 12.5 yards per punt return (162 yards on 13 returns).

• Mims is the Texas high school record holder for receiving yards in a career (5,485) and in a season (2,629 on 117 receptions and 32 touchdowns last year). He played at Lone Star High School in Frisco.

YOUNG RUNNING BACKS ROOM

• Oklahoma, which has produced a Big 12-high six individual 1,000-yard-rushing seasons by running backs over the past five years (the next most in the league during that span is three) and led the Big 12 in rushing offense in Lincoln Riley's first three campaigns as head coach, has divided its carries in 2020 among a largely inexperienced group.

• OU returned just 20.4% of its rushing yards and only 18.4% of its rushing touchdowns from last season. And after junior T.J. Pledger's Dec. 21 announcement that he is transferring, the Sooners are down to one running back who had more than 10 carries last season.

• Senior Rhamondre Stevenson was OU's leading returning rusher entering the year but didn't make his season debut until five games ago at Texas Tech. He had 13 carries for 87 yards and a career-high three touchdowns in Lubbock before gaining 104 yards on 11 carries with two scores vs. Kansas (also had 60 yards on four catches), a career-high 141 yards against Oklahoma State (also 54 receiving yards), 50 yards with a TD vs. Baylor (also 48 receiving yards) and 97 yards in the Big 12 Championship win over Iowa State. He is averaging 95.8 rushing yards per game (5.8 per carry) with a team-high six rushing TDs and has caught 18 passes (team-high-tying 3.6 per game) for 211 yards (42.2 per game). In his debut season last year, Stevenson ran 64 times for 515 yards and six TDs after transferring from junior college. His 8.0 yards per rush led the nation among players with at least 50 carries.

• Freshman Seth McGowan and redshirt freshman Marcus Major have rushed for 297 yards (three TDs) and 77 yards (two TDs), respectively.

IMPRESSIVE FOOT NOTES

• During Lincoln Riley's three-plus-year head coaching career, Oklahoma ranks sixth nationally with its 83.9% success rate on field goal attempts (73 for 87). Kansas State is the next best Big 12 school in the category during the span, ranking 20th at 79.8%.

• During the same period, the Sooners rank third nationally in PAT conversion percentage among teams with at least 150 attempts, converting 294 of 295 tries (99.7%). Only Georgia (212 for 212) and Virginia Tech (172 of 172) have a higher success rate.

• Redshirt sophomore kicker Gabe Brkic, who is a 2020 first-team All-Big 12 selection (coaches and AP) and a Lou Groza Award semifinalist, is 35 for 41 (.854) on career field goal attempts and has made all 95 of his PAT tries. The OU career record for field goal percentage is .833 (75 for 90) by Michael Hunnicutt (2011-14). Brkic ranks third nationally this season by averaging 2.0 field goal makes per game.

"AIR RAID" A MISNOMER

• Fans and media have often referred to Oklahoma's offense under Lincoln Riley as the "Air Raid." The label is not exactly accurate, however, as the Sooners have rushed more than they've thrown in each of the five years since Riley arrived in Norman, and that's counting plays in which the quarterback was sacked as pass plays (officially they are recorded as rushes). OU's rushing play percentage was 52.6 in 2015, 57.7 in 2016, 53.1 in 2017, 54.7 in 2018 and 57.3 last season. This season the Sooners have displayed even more balance than usual, running 49.9% of the time.

Lincoln Riley

RILEY'S FAST START

• The Football Bowl Subdivision's youngest head coach (33) at the time of his hiring, Lincoln Riley became just the fifth mentor in FBS history with no previous head-coaching experience at a four-year college to win at least 12 games in his debut season. At 24-4, 36-6 and 44-8, he also holds the OU record for most wins by a head coach in his first two, three and four seasons (Barry Switzer held the records of 21 and 32, and Bob Stoops held the record of 43). No one in the last 125 years won more games in their first three seasons as a college head coach (Penn's George Woodruff was the last from 1892 to '94).

• Riley is the only person to ever win an outright FBS conference championship in each of his first four seasons as a collegiate head coach.

• Riley is the third fastest OU head coach to reach 44 wins (52 games). Only College Football Hall of Famers Switzer (49 games) and Bud Wilkinson (51) did it faster.

OFFENSE HAS ROLLED UNDER RILEY

• Oklahoma owns the nation's most productive offense since the start of the 2015 season, which was Lincoln Riley's first year as OU's offensive coordinator. Riley still calls plays in his fourth year as head coach.

• Since the start of the 2015 campaign, OU ranks first nationally in scoring (44.4 ppg; next most is 41.8), total offense (544.7 ypg; next most is 504.3), yards per play (7.7; next most is 7.0), pass efficiency rating (186.5; next best is 172.4), yards per pass attempt (10.6) and touchdowns from scrimmage (433), second in completion percentage (69.1), third in passing offense (321.9) and 10th in rushing offense (222.9).

• In 78 games since the start of the 2015 season, OU has registered at least 500 yards of total offense 53 times (next most is 44), including in 43 of the last 61 outings, topped the 600-yard mark on 25 occasions and gone over 700 yards seven times. Similarly, OU has scored at least 30 points in 68 of 78 games since Riley's arrival, at least 40 points 49 times, at least 50 points 28 times and at least 60 points 10 times.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL'S BEST

• During the modern era of college football (since the end of World War II), the Sooners are the nation's No. 1 team with more wins (672) than any other program (next most is 631 by Alabama).

• Oklahoma is the highest-scoring program in college football history with 36,801 points (in 1,298 games).

• OU leads all FBS programs with 50 all-time conference championships. The rest of the top five includes Nebraska (46), Michigan (42), Ohio State (39) and USC (37). The Sooners' 14 league titles since 2000 are the most among Power Five programs (Ohio State ranks second with 11).

• No program has more all-time 10-win seasons than Oklahoma, which is tied with Alabama with 40 (OU has a nation-leading 17 10-win campaigns since 2000). In addition, OU's 26 seasons with at least 11 wins are the most in college football history.

• Since former head coach Bob Stoops arrived in Norman in 1999, OU leads all Power Five conference programs in wins (234) and points scored (11,198).

EXTRA POINTS

• Third-year Oklahoma assistant head coach for offense Shane Beamer was named South Carolina head coach on Dec. 6. Responsible for the Sooners' tight ends and H-backs, he became Lincoln Riley's first assistant to earn a head coaching job. Beamer's last game with OU was the Dec. 19 Big 12 Championship win over Iowa State. It was the third Big 12 title for the third-year assistant.

• Oklahoma's last two contests were a 27-14 win over Baylor and a 27-21 Big 12 Championship game win over Iowa State. The last time OU scored less than 30 points in consecutive games and won both was in 2006 (won 27-21 at Oklahoma State and 21-7 over Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship game).

• OU has held each of its last eight opponents under their current season average of offensive yards per game.

• The Sooners have racked up 30 sacks and 59 tackles for loss over the last seven games, good for averages of 4.3 and 8.4 per outing. Over the last five contests, OU has registered four more interceptions (10) than it has allowed touchdown passes (six).

• Oklahoma has won the time-of-possession battle in eight of 10 games this season and ranks 16th nationally with its 32:52 average. In Riley's first three seasons as head coach, OU never ranked better than 23rd in the statistic (31:50 in 2017). Since the Sooners began tracking time of possession in 1992, only one OU squad has recorded a figure above 33:00 minutes per game (33:11 in 2004).

• According to PFF, redshirt junior center Creed Humphrey has not allowed a sack in his college career (2,393 snaps). Humphrey is the reigning two-time Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year and was a 2020 third-team AP All-American.

• Sophomore wide receiver Theo Wease has 29 catches for 401 yards over the last seven games. Over his previous 15 career outings he had 15 receptions for 229 yards. He is the team's co-leader with 36 catches on the year.

• The last time OU started a season 1-2 was 2016. That team was victorious in its final nine games to finish 10-2, won Big 12 and Sugar Bowl titles and earned a final No. 5 AP ranking. It was Bob Stoops' final year as head coach. The Sooners have won seven straight this season since a 1-2 start.

• In 77 games since Riley arrived in Norman in 2015, OU has punted more than its opponent just 11 times.

• OU is the only program that has produced at least four NFL Draft picks each of the last 13 years.
