Ten Sooners to Compete at U23 and UWW Junior Nationals

OMAHA, Neb. - Ten Oklahoma wrestlers will compete this weekend at the 2020 USA Wrestling U23 and UWW Junior Nationals. The event is hosted by MECA-CHI Health Center of Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
Seven Sooners will wrestle in the U23 men's freestyle division and will compete for a qualifying position at the 2021 United State World Team Trials.
Three additional Sooners will compete in the UWW Junior Freestyle division, with a bid to the 2021 U.S World Team Trials on the line, as well as a 2021 Junior WTT berth, if age eligible.
Session 3: U23 Men's Freestyle
10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Session 4: UWW Junior Freestyle
4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, November 15
Session 5: U23 Men's Freestyle and UWW Junior Freestyle
10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Session 6: U23 Men's Freestyle and UWW Junior Freestyle
3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In the most recent Flo Wrestling poll the Sooners were ranked No. 13 behind a lineup of six ranked wrestlers. Head coach Lou Rosselli's team returns five NCAA qualifiers and added the 2019 ACC Freshman of the Year Mitch Moore via transfer in the summer. Oklahoma's 2021 wrestling schedule will be announced at a later date.
