Sooners Finalize Men's Basketball Schedule

NORMAN – The Big 12 Conference released its 2020-21 men's basketball schedule Monday, completing Oklahoma's slate for the upcoming season. The Sooners will begin their league schedule with an early Big 12 opener on Sunday, Dec. 6 at TCU.

Oklahoma's matchup with the Horned Frogs is scheduled to be the first conference matchup of the Big 12's season. Each Big 12 program will play two league games prior to the Christmas break. OU's conference home opener will come against Texas Tech on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

The double round-robin format will conclude on Saturday, Feb. 27 when the Sooners host Oklahoma State. The following week has been left open for possible makeup games before the Sooners head to Kansas City for the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship on March 10-13 at T-Mobile Center (formerly the Sprint Center).

Oklahoma's conference schedule is highlighted by four Saturday home games, hosting West Virginia (Jan. 2), Kansas (Jan. 23), Iowa State (Feb. 6) and Oklahoma State (Feb. 27). OU's home slate also features weeknight matchups against Texas Tech (Tuesday, Dec. 22), TCU (Tuesday, Jan. 12), Kansas State (Tuesday, Jan. 19), Baylor (Wednesday, Feb. 10) and Texas (Tuesday, Feb. 16).

In addition to its Big 12 opener at TCU, OU will play its remaining eight road games Jan. 6 at Baylor, Jan. 9 at Kansas, Jan. 16 at Oklahoma State, Jan. 26 at Texas, Feb. 1 at Texas Tech, Feb. 13 at West Virginia, Feb. 20 at Iowa State and Feb. 23 at Kansas State.

The unveiling of the Big 12 contests completes the Sooners' 2020-21 schedule. OU'S seven-game non-conference slate features marquee home matchups against Florida and Alabama along with true road games at Xavier and UCF.

The Sooners open the season on Wednesday, Nov. 25 against UTSA at Lloyd Noble Center.

At this moment, OU is anticipating the seating capacity of Lloyd Noble Center to be at approximately 25% for the 2020-21 season. Seating capacities are subject to change.

Sooner Club members and season ticket holders have been sent email communication providing them an opportunity to opt in for tickets for the upcoming season. Fans interested in becoming a season ticket holder should submit an interest form to the OU Ticket Office.
