Davion Jeffries' standout wrestling career at Oklahoma will come to an end this weekend as the senior competes in his fourth and final NCAA Championship. A senior from Broken Arrow, Okla., Jeffries has been a staple in the Sooners' lineup since his true freshman year. Jeffries has picked up 18 or more wins in each of his four seasons and heads to the national tournament with a .727 win percentage in his senior campaign.
The senior will look to finish his already decorated career on a high note as he and five other Sooners head to the 2019 NCAA DI Wrestling Championship in Pittsburgh, Pa., March 21-23.
Career victories for Jeffries headed into the NCAA tournament. The Oklahoma native notched his 80th career victory during OU's regular-season matchup with Fresno State.
Career dual match victories for the senior, good for the most since Cody Brewer.
Jeffries and Christian Moody, Dom Demas, Justin Thomas and Jake Woodley head to Pittsburgh for the 2019 NCAA DI Wrestling Championship, set to begin Thursday. The tournament will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPNU.
