NORMAN The Oklahoma wrestling team is slated for its final nonconference match Saturday at Edinboro University. Match time is set for 6 p.m. CT.

Last Time Out

In their last competition, the Sooners fell to then-No. 22 Lehigh at McCasland Field House 28-3. Jake Boyd picked up a win for OU with a 5-4 decision against Lehigh's Victor Lacombe in the heavyweight bout.

Eight of the other nine matches were decisions with Lehigh only earning one bonus-point victory.

Sooners in the Rankings

At 141, Dom Demas is the Sooners' representative in the InterMat, Trackwrestliing and FloWrestling rankings. Demas is No. 16 in both InterMat and Track's releases and No. 13 in the latest Flo poll.

Oklahoma is No. 22 in InterMat's team rankings and No. 34 in the Trackwrestling release.

Five OU wrestlers are ranked in the first of four NCAA Division I Coaches' Panel Rankings. Demas is No 10 at 141; at 149 Davion Jeffries is 28. Justin Thomas (157) is No. 33, while at 174 Anthony Mantanona is ranked 28 and Jake Woodley is No. 25 at 197. The final rankings will be one of the tools used as part of the selection process to determine qualifiers and seeding for the 2019 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships on March 21-23 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

Rosselli Returns

Third-year head coach Lou Rosselli was a 1993 graduate of Edinboro University. Rosselli made history for the Fighting Scots in 1989 when he became the first Edinboro freshman to qualify for the NCAA Championships. Rosselli went on to record top-five finishes at the 1991 and 1993 Championships and was a two-time All-American. He ranks third all-time in career wins with 136. As a senior, he was named the Outstanding Wrestler at the EWL Tournament and PSAC Championships, finishing with a 38-2 record. Rosselli was induced into the Edinboro University Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.

The Sooners met Edinboro last season in Norman (OU prevailed 19-16), but Saturday's match will mark Rosselli's first match at Edinboro as a head coach.
