NORMAN – The Oklahoma wrestling team wraps up the regular season at home with South Dakota State Friday at 6 p.m. CT, followed by North Dakota State Sunday at 1 p.m.

Friday's South Dakota State match will be held inside Lloyd Noble Center, while the North Dakota State match on Sunday will be contested at McCasland Field House.

Last Time Out

OU defeated Big 12 opponents Air Force and Fresno State in its final road trip of the season. The Sooners flew past Air Force 31-9 thanks to four bonus-point victories. Anthony Madrigal, Dom Demas, Davion Jeffries and Anthony Mantanona all tallied major decisions in the contest.

OU downed Fresno State 25-16 behind pins by Mantanona and Christian Moody, as well as a tech fall from Demas. Three Sooners upset ranked opponents in the win.

The Sooners currently hold a three-match winning streak dating back to OU's 31-6 win over Edinboro on Feb. 9.

Sooners in the Rankings

Three Sooners check into InterMat's individual rankings this week. Demas is No. 18 at 141; at 157, Justin Thomas is No. 20; and Woodley is tabbed No. 20 at 197. OU is No. 22 in InterMat's team rankings.

A trio of Sooners also checked in to FloWrestling's poll. Demas (141) is No. 13, while at 149 Jeffries is 17 and Woodley is 19 at 197.

Demas is OU's representative in Trackwrestling's rankings, where he clocks in at No. 15.

Four OU wrestlers are ranked in the second of four NCAA Division I Coaches' Panel Rankings. Demas is No. 14 at 141; at 149 Davion Jeffries is 24. Anthony Mantanona (174) is ranked 31 and Woodley is No. 27 at 197.

Senior Spotlight

The North Dakota State match will be senior day and the Sooners will honor Davion Jeffries, Reece Henry, Kayne MacCallum, Jake Rubio, Jared Schieber, Hayden Hansen and Noah Teaney prior to the beginning of the contest in the class' final competition in Norman.

Scouting South Dakota State

SDSU comes into Friday's contest with a 2-9 record on the year and a 1-6 mark in conference matches.

South Dakota State dropped to North Dakota State 31-10 in its last contest. The Jackrabbits have lost their last three matches. Prior to that stretch, SDSU defeated Utah Valley 26-16 at home for its lone league win of the year.

OU last met South Dakota State in 2017 when the then-No. 12 Jackrabbits defeated the Sooners 22-13 in Norman. The all-time series, which dates back to 1970, is tied at 2-2.  

Scouting North Dakota State

The Bison enter the matchup at 10-5 on the season and 5-3 in Big 12 action. In its last contest, NDSU downed South Dakota State 31-10 in Fargo for their fourth straight dual victory. Three wrestlers picked up bonus-point victories in the contest with two of those pins.

Three NDSU wrestlers were ranked in the latest InterMat release: at 125, Brent Fleetwood is No. 9, while Cam Sykora is No. 16 at 133 and Andrew Fogarty (165) is No. 19. 

The teams have only met once, with that contest taking place in 2016 in Norman. Then No. 17, OU put away the Bison 25-14 to grab its first Big 12 win of the year.

Friday's match will take place inside Lloyd Noble Center at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. The match will be contested under the spotlight and free glowsticks will be available while supplies last. Free pizza will also be provided for the first 150 fans.

Sunday's contest with North Dakota State will be at McCasland Field House at 2 p.m. Doors will open at 1 p.m. Free sandwiches from PDQ will be available for the first 175 fans.
