Old Rivals Meet in Kansas City

November 26, 2019 | Men's Basketball

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After suffering its first loss of the season during the semifinals of the College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic, Oklahoma (5-1, 0-0 Big 12) looks to bounce back and capture third place in the tournament when it faces Missouri (4-2, 0-0 SEC) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT.

Jason Benetti and Bryce Drew will call the action on ESPNews. Fans with proper cable verification can also stream the game on the Watch ESPN App.

• Tuesday's battle with Missouri marks the 211th meeting between the old conference foes. The Sooners are 113-97 all-time against the Tigers and have faced the former conference foe just once (2014) since Mizzou left for the SEC.

• Despite only facing each other only once in the last eight seasons, Missouri has historically been one of OU's most common opponents. Oklahoma has only faced Oklahoma State (237) and Kansas (216) more than its played the Tigers (210). OU's 113 wins over Mizzou are its third most over any team in men's basketball, holding 137 victories versus Oklahoma State and 116 against Iowa State.

• Oklahoma is 11-9 against current SEC teams during the Kruger era, including 9-5 against schools which were SEC members at the time of competition. The Sooners swept their three games against SEC schools last season, defeating Florida in the opening round of Battle 4 Atlantis, Vanderbilt in Norman as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge and Ole Miss in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

• Oklahoma is 27-3 in games played in November and December since the start of the 2017-18 season.

• Dating back to last season, junior forward Brady Manek has scored in double figures in 19 of his last 22 games.
