FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
• After playing four consecutive games at home, OU hits the road for the first time this season Saturday as the Sooners head to Houston. The matchup with the Cougars is set to tip at 2 p.m. CT.
• OU picked up a 75-62 win over Stephen F. Austin in its last contest.
Madi Williams headlined the victory as she matched her career high with 16 boards for her third game this season with double-digit rebounds. Williams has pulled down 46 rebounds this season, almost triple the boards of the next closest Sooners (
Ana Llanusa, Mandi Simpson and
Kamryn Lemon have all collected 17).

Taylor Robertson leads the nation from beyond the arc with an average 5.00 made three-pointers per game. Robertson averages more treys per game than 105 programs in Division I basketball. The McPherson, Kan., product is shooting 54.0% (20-for-37) from beyond the arc and leads the Big 12 conference in made 3-pointers and 3-point attempts.
• Four Sooners are averaging points in double figures through four games. Llanusa is averaging 21.5 points per game; Robertson accounts for 19.5; Williams averages 14.5; and
Kamryn Lemon, 10.0. Both Llanusa and Robertson have scored in double figures in every contest this season, while Williams has done so in three.
• Saturday's contest with the Cougars will mark the third meeting between the two programs and the first since 1981 in Houston. OU owns the all-time series 2-0 with one win in Houston and one in Norman.
SMOOTH CRIMINAL
With an average of 5.0 steals per game, Llanusa ranks ninth nationally in steals per game with 4.0. She sits atop the Big 12 rankings for steals per game and total steals (16). Llanusa tallied a career-high eight steals against UAB (Nov. 10), which tie for the seventh-most in a single game in Division I basketball this season. That figure is also the most by a Power Five player in a single game in 2019-20. Llanusa is tied for 11th nationally in total steals (16) and ranks first among Power Five players.
T-ROB TREYS
Sophomore
Taylor Robertson picked up right where she left off last season, shooting 54.0% (20-for-37) from beyond the arc. As a freshman in 2018-19, Robertson led all Division I freshmen and ranked 12th nationally in 3-pointers made. The McPherson, Kan., product finished second in the country with 3.50 3-pointers per game. She was first among Division I freshmen in 3-point field goal percentage (.476) and finished the year ranked fifth overall.
Robertson leads all Big 12 players in made 3-pointers (20) and 3-point attempts (37). The next closest players have hit 11 3s (Kysre Gonderzick of West Virginia and Christianna Carr of Kansas State) and 11 attempts (Sydney Goodson, Texas Tech).
Robertson headlines the national rankings for made 3s per game (5.00), tying with New Mexico's Ahlise Hurst to make Robertson the Power Five leader in the category. The sophomore is tied for 16th for made 3s (20) and tied 23rd for 3-point attempts (37). Additionally, Robertson is averaging more 3-pointers per game than 105 teams in Division I basketball.
LLANUSA LLEADING THE WAY
Llanusa is averaging 21.5 points per game to lead the Sooners. Llanusa ranks first in the Big 12 Conference in total points (86) and third in points per game. A Preseason All-Big 12 selection, Llanusa was the first Big 12 player to have a 30-point performance this season after dropping 30 against Missouri State (Nov. 14) and is one of just two players to do so thus far. Llanusa is tied for 17th nationally in points per game (21.5). Llanusa was named the Preseason WNIT All-Tournament team for her efforts in the first three games of the season.
BOARD WOMAN
Sophomore guard/forward Williams is averaging 11.5 rebounds per game to lead the Sooners. Her 46 rebounds on the season are almost triple that of the next closest OU players (
Ana Llanusa, Mandi Simpson and
Kamryn Lemon have all collected 17). Williams has had double-digit rebounds in three of OU's four contests this season with 13 each against Prairie View A&M (Nov. 8) and UAB (Nov. 10) and 16 against SFA
(Nov. 20) to match her career high. The Fort Worth, Texas product is tied for 16th nationally in rebounds per game (11.5).
Additionally, Williams recorded back-to-back double-doubles against Prairie View A&M (14 pts/13 reb) and UAB (24 pts/13 reb). Williams was OU's last player to record consecutive double-doubles as she achieved the feat last season. Williams logged 20 points and 10 rebounds at SMU (Dec. 22, 2018) and posted 10 points and 11 rebounds against Texas Tech at home (Jan. 2, 2019).
Williams' 24 points in the win over UAB were good for a career high for the sophomore. Williams' previous best was 22, set last season against the Blazers in Bimini, Bahamas (Nov. 22, 2018).
PREVIEWING HOUSTON
The Cougars enter Saturday's matchup at 2-2 on the season with both of their wins coming inside the Fertitta Center. In its last contest, Houston downed Houston Baptist 80-62. Tatyana Hill had a
career-high outing with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting in 16:46 minutes of action. Two more Cougars notched career highs as Dymond Gladney scored 11 points and Dorian Branch posted seven assists.
Jasmyne Harris leads Houston with an average 14.8 points per game. Hill is right behind with 13.3???????.
QUICK HITS
- Saturday will be a homecoming for OU's three Texas-born players. Freshman Liz Scott, who hails from Tomball,Texas, will be just 40 miles from her hometown. Other Lone Star Sooners include Tatum Veitenheimer (Windthorst) and Williams (Fort Worth).
- The Sooners will be tested early and often during their 14-game non-conference schedule. OU's non-conference slate features at least seven matchups with teams that appeared in the postseason a year ago including three NCAA Tournament teams (Abilene Christian, Drake and UConn).
- OU is the only team in the Big 12 without a senior on its roster. The Sooners will be one of two league teams (Texas Tech) that will return three players who averaged at least 10.0 points per game. Llanusa (18.3), Robertson (14.3) and Williams (11.6) all averaged scoring in double figures during the 2018-19 season.
- Assistant coach Stiles was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame as a player in 2016 in the same class as head coach Coale. Oklahoma joins Connecticut as the only Division I women's basketball programs with two WBHOF inductees on their coaching staff.
