NORMAN – The No. 5 Oklahoma men's golf team is in second place after two rounds at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played Friday-Sunday (Nov.1 – Nov. 3) at the par-71, 6,700-yard Royal Ka'anapali Course at the Ka'anapali Golf Club in Lahaina, Maui, Hawai'i.

The Sooners posted a 274 (-10) on Saturday, bringing their team total to 542 (-26) one shot behind leader Washington. UCLA sits in third at 25-under (543) while Liberty is in sole possession of fourth place at 544 (-24). West Virginia rounds out the top five at 546 (-22). 

Senior Quade Cummins led OU during the second round, holding second place through 36 holes. Cummins recorded a 66 (-5) with seven birdies to bring his two-day total to 131 (-11). 

Three strokes behind Cummins is fellow senior Garett Reband who is tied for fifth. Reband posted a 70 (-1) during Saturday's round and sits at 134 (-8) through 36 holes. 

Sophomore Logan McAllister is tied for 27th place after firing a 67 (-4) in the second round. McAllister carded an eagle on the front nine to bring his two-day total to 138 (-4). Patrick Welch shot a 71 (E) on the day and shares 34th place at 139 (-3).

Senior Thomas Johnson sits in a tie for 76th overall after recording a 72 (+1) in the second round. Turner Hosch, competing as an individual, also posted a 72 (+1) and is tied for 47th. 

The final round will begin Sunday at 1:30 p.m. CT with a shotgun start. Oklahoma will be paired with Washington and UCLA for the final round.
