NORMAN – The Oklahoma volleyball team earned the 800
th win in program history Saturday as the Sooners took down Kansas 3-1.
OU (11-4, 3-1 Big 12) topped the Jayhawks (4-9, 0-3 Big 12) 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-17 in front of over 1,000 fans to remain undefeated (6-0) inside McCasland Field House this season.
"The plan was to execute from the service line and get the pins going early and get the middles involved, both first ball and in transition," said head coach
Lindsey Gray-Walton. "At different points and in different sets, each player rose to the occasion when we needed them to. Overall, I'm really proud of their ability to execute at a really high level after a loss on Wednesday."
"Credit to the people who have come before us. I think, 'man, how cool' because we talk about it as a team - the people who came before you and leaving your jersey in a better place," said Gray-Walton of the program milestone. "To just add to that tradition that we knew was here and we wanted to be a part of as a family and a staff, to just be one of many greats, I'm a very, very small part of it. That's that team out there wanting to win. That speaks to the success and tradition of this program and this place."
The Sooners swung .241 in the match while holding the Jayhawks to .162. OU out-killed the Jayhawks 58-42 and posted 66 digs to Kansas' 54. The Sooners were a force from behind the service line, firing off seven aces.

Kansas took the first set 25-23. A tight second set saw a tie as late as 18-all before OU used back-to-back kills by Dunbar to gain separation. Anderson and
