NORMAN – The Oklahoma wrestling team will be represented by five student-athletes at the 2018 NCAA Championships inside the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, beginning Thursday at 11 a.m. CT.  

Redshirt sophomore Christian Moody (125 pounds), senior Mike Longo (141 pounds), junior Davion Jeffries (149 pounds), senior Dawaylon Barnes (165 pounds) and senior Yoanse Mejias (174 pounds) will be wrestling for the Sooners in Cleveland. Barnes, Longo, Mejias and Moody earned automatic bids through top-finishes in their respective weight classes at the 2018 Big 12 Championship in Tulsa. Jeffries earned one of the six at-large bids at 149 pounds.

Longo is making his fourth consecutive NCAA Championships appearance; his first two coming at Appalachian State. Jeffries, Mejias and Moody have now qualified for nationals in back-to-back seasons. Barnes, in his second season wrestling at OU, will make his NCAA Championships debut this weekend.

Friday, March 18
10 a.m. – Session Three (Eight Mats – Quarterfinals and Wrestlebacks)
7 p.m. – Session Four (Six Mats – Semifinals and Wrestlebacks)

Saturday, March 19
10 a.m. – Session Five (Three Mats – Wrestleback Semis and Medal Rounds)
7 p.m. – Session Six (One Mat – Finals and Awards)

The first session of the 2018 NCAA Championships is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. CT on Thursday, March 17, on ESPNU. Session III on Friday morning and Session V on Saturday morning will also be on ESPNU, while Session II and IV on Thursday and Friday night, respectively, will be on ESPN. Saturday night's finals will be on ESPN2.
