NORMAN – The No. 7 University of Oklahoma wrestling team will face No. 16 Iowa State this Friday, Jan. 22 in Lloyd Noble Center. The dual, slated for a 7 p.m. start, is part of the Beauty and the Beast event, held in conjunction with the OU women's gymnastics program, which features a split-floor wrestling dual and gymnastics meet. 

The Sooners are 8-2 on the season and coming off a big weekend, registering wins over Bucknell and then-No. 24 West Virginia. OU posted a 23-21 victory over Bucknell on Friday, Jan. 15 before defeating Big 12 opponent West Virginia, 23-11, in Morgantown, W.Va. Ryan Millhof (125 pounds), Trae Blackwell (141 pounds), Davion Jeffries (149 pounds) and Clark Glass (165 pounds) each tallied two wins on the weekend. Both of Millhof's wins came over higher-ranked opponents, including a win by fall in 5:15 over then-No. 10 Paul Petrov.

The dual will be broadcast live on Fox College Sports Central with Chad McKee and Jack Spates on the call.

Tickets can be found online or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at 405-325-2424. All tickets purchased for the American dual on Sunday, Jan. 24 can be now be used for the Iowa State contest. 

RANKED COMPETITORS
Four Sooners are ranked in the latest Intermat polls in No. 11 Ryan Millhof (125 pounds), No. 4 Cody Brewer (133 pounds), No. 8 Clark Glass (165 pounds) and No. 16 Ross Larson (285 pounds).

The Cyclones' lineup features three ranked wrestlers, including No. 9 Earl Hall (133 pounds), No. 20 Gabe Moreno (149 pounds) and No. 10 Tanner Weatherman (165 pounds).

Friday's contest showcases two bouts between ranked competitors at 133 pounds and 165 pounds.
