Sharane Campbell-Olds // Sr. // G Campbell-Olds scored 18 points on 6-9 shooting and added four rebounds, four assists and three steals. The senior drained five 3-pointers in the contest, including a stretch of 3-straight in the second half to give the Sooners the lead after being down 14.

AMES, Iowa — The Oklahoma women's basketball team battled back from a 15-point second half deficit to take the lead late in the second stanza but ultimately fell to Iowa State 84-76 in overtime Tuesday night at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.

The loss was the Sooners fourth in Big 12 Conference play and they now stand at 10-4 in league. The Cyclones improved their conference mark to 7-7.

OU (16-9, 10-4) had four players in double-figure points and was led by redshirt sophomore Peyton Little's career-tying high 22 points. Senior Sharane Campbell-Olds added 18 points, while freshman Gabbi Ortiz and redshirt sophomore Maddie Manning each contributed 10 points.

The Cyclones (16-9, 7-7) had two players crack the 20-point plateau. Bryanna Williamson led all scorers with 24 points, while Nikki Moody added 22 points.

After grabbing a 10-point lead seven minutes into the contest, the Sooners were outscored by the Cyclones 32-11 in the final 13 minutes of the first half. Oklahoma went into the locker room down for only the third time in Big 12 play as Iowa State led 41-30.

The Cyclones increased their lead to 15 points – 53-38 - early in the second half as Williamson rattled off eight points for ISU to open the final half.

It was a 3-pointer by Campbell-Olds on the next play that started the rally for Oklahoma. That long-ball started a stretch of four straight 3-pointers by the Sooners. After Little drained the fourth and final of the momentum shifting run, OU had sliced ISU's advantage to seven with 11:09 left in regulation.

Those 12 points on 3-pointers were part of a 28-6 monstrous run that flipped the advantage to the Sooners at 66-61 with 5:33 remaining. The hot-hand of Campbell-Olds single-handedly gave Oklahoma the lead as she drained three consecutive 3-pointers give OU the five-point edge.

The Sooners and Cyclones grinded out the final five minutes and, with the game tied at 70-70, neither team could pull out the win in regulation.

Iowa State ran out to a 4-point advantage in overtime after sinking four free throws, but Oklahoma responded with four of its own free throws, all by Manning, to knot the contest at 74 with 2:39 on the clock.

It was a 3-pointer by Moody that blew the wind out of the Sooners sails. Moody's 3-pointer, followed by a Williamson layup ultimately gave the Cyclones all the momentum it needed to pull out the eight point victory.

Oklahoma was held without a field goal for the final 2:30 of regulation and all of the overtime period. Its final six points of the game came from the charity stripe.

OU is back in action Saturday, Feb. 21 when it plays at Kansas State. Game is set to tip at 7 p.m.
