August 11, 2026 | Women's Basketball

NORMAN – The Southeastern Conference announced the 2026-27 women's basketball conference schedule Tuesday, unveiling Oklahoma's 16-game league slate.

For the 18th consecutive season, the SEC schedule will feature 16 conference games. Each team will face 14 opponents once, either at home or on the road, while playing one rotating opponent twice. As previously announced, Oklahoma's home-and-home opponent for the 2026-27 season is South Carolina.

The Sooners have gone 11-5 in SEC play in each of their first two seasons in the conference while advancing to back-to-back NCAA Sweet 16s.

Entering her sixth season at the helm, head coach Jennie Baranczyk leads Oklahoma into conference play beginning Dec. 31 at Ole Miss. The Sooners are 3-1 against the Rebels under Baranczyk and open the SEC slate on the road before returning to Lloyd Noble Center for their conference home opener against Missouri on Jan. 3 in the 63rd all-time meeting between the programs.

The Sooners' remaining home conference games include Georgia (Jan. 7), Kentucky (Jan. 24), Vanderbilt (Jan. 28), Alabama (Feb. 4), South Carolina (Feb. 8), Auburn (Feb. 21) and Texas (Feb. 25).

Following the New Year's Eve opener at Ole Miss, Oklahoma's SEC road schedule features trips to Tennessee (Jan. 10), South Carolina (Jan. 14), Mississippi State (Jan. 21), Texas A&M (Jan. 31), Arkansas (Feb. 11), Florida (Feb. 14) and LSU (Feb. 28).

All 16 SEC teams will compete in the 2027 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament, scheduled for March 3-7 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.

Oklahoma returns seven players from last season's Sweet 16 squad, led by reigning National Freshman of the Year Aaliyah Chavez and rising senior Sahara Williams. Five additional returners who saw game action in 2025-26 are joined by a seven-player newcomer class featuring three freshmen and four transfers.

Tipoff times and television designations will be announced at a later date.

The Sooners' complete non-conference schedule will be announced at a later date, but three marquee matchups have already been revealed. Oklahoma opens the season against North Carolina in Paris, France, on Nov. 2, travels to Syracuse for the SEC/ACC Challenge on Dec. 3 and renews the Bedlam rivalry against Oklahoma State on Dec. 12 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
