No. 21/24 Oklahoma (4-1) concludes the 2015 Junkanoo Jam and faces Boston College (5-0) for the first time on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT in Freeport, Bahamas. The Sooners are one of 10 teams in the tournament and are competing in the Reef Division at the tournament. OU is 2-1 all-time at the Junkanoo Jam and previously played in the event during the 2004-05 season. The Sooners have won three straight games after defeating Utah, 70-55, on Thursday. Boston College is 4-0 this season and takes on Utah at 7 p.m. CT Friday night in the second game of the tournament before facing OU.
Saturday's contest will air on the Sooner Radio Network with Brian Brinkley calling the action. The game will be streamed on Periscope.
• Oklahoma enters Saturday's matchup ranked third in the Big 12 in 3-point field goal percentage (.368). Maddie Manning is tied for fourth in the Big 12 with a .500 shooting percentage from behind the arc, while Peyton Little leads OU with 16 3-pointers.
• Little ranks third in the Big 12 in 3-pointers made per game (3.2), seventh in scoring (15.6) as well as tied for eighth in steals per game (2.2). The redshirt junior has scored in double figures 14 times in her last 20 games dating back to last season.
• Redshirt senior forward Kaylon Williams is OU's second leading scorer (12.2 ppg) and leads the squad in rebounds per game (6.8). Williams, who picked up her first double-double of the season against North Texas (11 points/12 rebounds), now has nine career double-doubles - the most of any active player on OU's roster. She has scored in double figures 12 times in the last 13 games for the Sooners dating back to the 2014-15 season. Thursday's game marked her 100th game as a Sooner.
• Sophomore center Vionise Pierre-Louis filled that stat sheet in Thursday's win over Utah, scoring 14 points along while adding in five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal. Pierre-Louis is eighth in the league with 1.8 blocks per game. The sophomore finished 5 of 7 from the field and played a season-high 21 minutes off the bench against Utah.
• Through five games, OU is holding opponents to an average of 51.4 points per game. Foes are shooting just 36.1 percent from the field and just 26.2 percent from 3-point range against the Sooners.
• No. 21 Oklahoma scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to pull away from Utah, to earn a 70-55 victory over the Utes on Thursday to open the Junkanoo Jam. The Sooners took a five-point advantage into the final quarter and opened the frame by knocking down three 3-pointers to run away from the Utes. OU picked up the pressure on defense in the final 20 minutes, holding Utah to just 23 points in the second half.
• Redshirt junior guard Peyton Little and sophomore center Vioinse Pierre-Louis led the team with 14 points apiece, respectively. Little hit four 3-pointers in the win and led the Sooners with a season-high six assists and three steals, while Pierre-Louis recorded five rebounds, a career-high four assists and two blocks off the bench.
• Redshirt senior forward Kaylon Williams, who appeared in her 100th game at OU Thursday, finished with 11 points and four rebounds in the victory. The Midwest City, Okla., native has scored in doubles figures 12 times in the Sooners' last 13 games dating back to last season.
• OU, who led for the entire game, jumped out to an 8-3 advantage early and led by as many as 10 points with 1:30 left in the first quarter before Utah cut the advantage down to two points at halftime. The Sooners found their rhythm offensively by knocking down four 3-pointers and hitting five of its first seven shots to begin the fourth quarter. Little and Derica Wyatt combined to knock down three triples to begin the frame. OU used an 8-2 run to extend its lead to 68-50 with 3:17 left in the game.
• ACC member Boston College heads to the Junkanoo Jam with a 4-0 record under fourth-year head coach Erik Johnson. BC finished last season with a 13-17 record and 5-11 (11th) mark in ACC play. The 4-0 record by the Eagles is the best start for BC since the 2010-11 season.
• Junior guard Kelly Hughes leads the Eagles averaging 16.8 points per game and a .538 (21 of 39) shooting percentage through the first four games. Hughes has done much of her damage from deep, knocking down 17 of 30 (.567) from 3-point range. The junior has just one turnover in four games to start the season for the Eagles.
• Mariella Fosula is BC's only other player averaging doubles figures in scoring with 10.5 points per game. Fosula also leads the Eagles with 5.5 rebounds per game and averages 19.5 minutes off the bench.
• Boston College ranks third in the NCAA in scoring defense, allowing just 44.3 points per game. The Eagles are also 13th in the nation in free throw percentage (.792) and 21st in field goal percentage defense (.315).
• OU is 17-7 under head coach Sherri Coale in games that are played outside the contiguous United States. The 2015 Junkanoo Jam marks the fifth time the Sooners have played a tournament outside the U.S. under Coale.
• Redshirt junior Maddie Manning played a career-high 35 minutes against Utah, finishing with a career-high six assists. Manning made her first start since the 2012 season (at Hawai'i), starting OU's home opener against Winthrop on Nov. 13.
• Redshirt freshman guard Gileysa Penzo scored 11 points - all in the fourth quarter. Her 11 points are the second most in one quarter by a Sooner this season (Maddie Manning - 13 vs. BYU; Nov. 19, 2015).
• Sophomore center Vionise Pierre-Louis tied her career-high with four blocks Sunday. OU set a season-high with seven blocks, its most in a single game since last year's 104-55 win over Bradley in Norman.
• Sophomore center McKenna Treece made her season debut in the second quarter against Bradley last Sunday. Treece missed the first three games due to thumb surgery and played three minutes Sunday. She scored her first basket of the season in OU's win over Utah.
• Junior guard T'ona Edwards finished with a season-high eight points and six assists versus Bradley. The junior also finished with 10 attempts from the field, a career-high.
• In their four wins this season, the Sooners have held both opponents to under 50 points in three games (Winthrop - 48; BYU 47, Bradley 46).
• OU held an opponent to under 25 points in a half for the fourth time in the last three games in Thursday's game versus Utah. The Utes scored just 23 points in the second half in Thursday's game. The Sooners also held Bradley to 21 points in the first half on Nov. 22 and BYU to 25 and 22 points, respectively, on Nov. 19.
The Sooners return home on Wednesday, Dec. 2 to take on Little Rock at 7 p.m. CT at the Lloyd Noble Center. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest +.
