Matchups Set for Red/White Scrimmage

NORMAN -- The first chance to see the University of Oklahoma wrestling team comes at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the Red/White Scrimmage inside McCasland Field House. Admission to the event is free.

The Sooners, ranked No. 23 in InterMat's Preseason Dual Meet Index, return three NCAA qualifiers from last year's squad that took 10th place at the national tournament in two-time All-American Cody Brewer (133), Justin DeAngelis (157) and Ross Larson (HWT). Additionally, Clark Glass (165) appeared in all of OU's events last season.

Of those participating in the scrimmage, Sean Williams (125), Dryden Dennis (149), Matt Reed (174), Greg Wilson (184), Brad Johnson (197) and Zach Merrill (HWT) have all made appearances for the Sooners over the last two seasons.

OU starts its regular season at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, as it hosts OCU, Baker and Shorter College in a four-team contest inside Lloyd Noble Center. The Sooners will face all three teams during the day, and admission is free.
