The countdown to the 2013 soccer season continues today, with only 37 days left until the Sooners open the year on the road at Tennessee on August 23. The full schedule is available on the soccer page at SoonerSports.com

With the 2013 season fast approaching, SoonerSports.com will highlight each of the players on the 2013 squad. Each post will help fans get to know the Sooners better before watching them on the field this fall.

The third edition of the Countdown features midfielder Pagie Jacobs from Coppell, Texas, and Jamie Iurato.

1. Nickname ... PJ

2. Biggest Compliment given ... The biggest compliment I've ever been given would be that I always fight hard and never give up no matter what the situation.

3. Biggest influence on your life ... My brother. With him being an athlete was well, it's been such an honor to be able to look up to him and watch him succeed, not only as an athlete but also as a person.

4. Strengths ... Very physical, winning the air game and never giving up.

5. Weaknesses ... Agility and fitness can always be better.

6. Favorite Candy ... Sour Patch Kids

7. Dream holiday ... Cancun, Mexico

8. Do you have any heroes?
I have so many heroes and people that I look up to, but to narrow it down, I'd have to say my mom and dad. They have been there for me through everything and have been the best parents I could ever have asked for.

9. Do you have any hobbies, if so, please list them ...
Other than soccer, I really enjoy riding bikes.

10. Name three people (famous, relatives, friends) you would invite to dinner?
Jesus, Ellen DeGeneres, Steve Harvey

11. What is the last song downloaded on your IPod?

My brother is a professional hockey player.

15. Describe yourself in five words ... Hardworking, committed, trustworthy, funny, outgoing.

16. In five years, I will be ... working at a steady job and living happily.

Paige Jacobs Bio Brief
Jacobs was an all-region, academic all-state and District 5-5A first team pick as a senior in 2013. She helped lead her Coppell High School team to a playoff appearance as a senior and was named varsity co-offensive player of the year. A Top Drawer Soccer four star recruit, Jacobs was also the No. 28 ranked player in the state of Texas.
