With the 2013 season fast approaching, SoonerSports.com will highlight each of the players on the 2013 squad. Each post will help fans get to know the Sooners better before watching them on the field this fall.

The second edition of the Countdown features defender Courtney Forte from Flower Mound, Texas, and Kaitlyn Fahrner.

2. Biggest Compliment given ... I'm always positive.

3. Biggest influence on your life ... My mom, because she has taught me so much growing up and I wouldn't be who I am today without her influence.

4. Strengths ... Attacking from the back, being physical, not giving up.

5. Weaknesses ... Not as strong left-footed, directional heading and agility.

7. Dream holiday ... The Bahamas

8. Do you have any heroes? My brother. He plays basketball at Oklahoma State and worked so hard to achieve that dream.

9. Do you have any hobbies, if so, please list them ... Going for jogs, reading, hanging out with friends.

Courtney Forte Bio Brief
A four-year letter winner at Edward Marcus High School, Forte earned first team all-district honors in 2011 and 2012. She also helped lead her alma mater to district titles in 2010 and 2011. At the 2013 Lewisville Cup, she scored four goals and two assists to earn Most Valuable Player honors. She was a four star recruit on Top Drawer Soccer.
