With the 2013 season fast approaching, SoonerSports.com will highlight each of the players on the 2013 squad. Each post will help fans get to know the Sooners better before watching them on the field this fall.
The second edition of the Countdown features Kaitlyn Fahrner, a goalkeeper from Las Vegas, Nev., and Courtney Forte .

3. Biggest Influence on your life ... My parents, Tim and Judy Fahrner. They have always supported me and pushed me to be driven to be the best I can be in their own ways. But together, they have made me be the best person I can on and off the field.
4. Strengths ... Staying connected in the game and talking to my defense. 5. Weaknesses ... Dropkicking and executing my distribution. 6. Favorite Candy ...Brownies or any candy. I'll eat anything!
7. Dream holiday ... New Years is my favorite. 8. Do you have any heroes? My parents. 9. Do you have any hobbies, if so, please list them ... Hanging out with friends, making Pinterest DIYs, soccer, soccer, soccer!
10. Name three people (famous, relatives, friends) you would invite to dinner? Amy Madden (my best friend back home), Judy Fahrner (my mom) and Jillien Shappley (my new niece).
11. What is the last song downloaded on your IPod? I don't remember.

13. Favorite TV show ...Grey's Anatomy and Chopped
14. Tell us something that we don't know about you? I have crooked pinkies and I am missing teeth, all from genetics. My grandma, cousins and sisters have it, too.
15. Describe yourself in five words ... I am Kaitlyn Fahrner, dude!
16. In five years, I will be ... going to pharmaceutical school to fulfill my dream of being a pharmacist.

Kaitlyn Fahrner Bio Brief Fahrner was a multi-year letter winner and team captain as goalkeeper at Coronado High School in Las Vegas, Nev. An NSCAA all-state selection, she was named a four star recruit by Top Drawer Soccer.
Fahrner helped her club team to the 2011 Surf Cup championship, where she was named the MVP. She was also a Region IV Olympic Development Team member and was invited to the 2012 Olympic Development Program National Camp.

Who is the biggest joker on the team? Elise Romano
What is your best highlight moment? Your dream highlight moment? My best highlight moment was my first game I played in the spring with OU against Arkansas. I went in early for the other goalie, as the game was tied 0-0. A couple minutes after I went in, they got a PK against me and I blocked it and then kept a shutout the rest of the game.
