1988 Sooners Reunite Saturday

February 28, 2008 | Men's Basketball

  1987-88 Oklahoma Sooners
NORMAN, Okla. -- Twenty years ago, arguably the greatest team in Oklahoma men's basketball history lit up the Lloyd Noble Center scoreboard during a magical season that culminated with an appearance in the national championship game.

This weekend, they're coming back.

Members of Oklahoma's 1988 Final Four team will be in attendance Saturday when the Sooners host Texas A&M at 1 p.m. The returning players and coaches will be honored during a special halftime ceremony.

Reserved tickets for Saturday's game are sold out, but a limited number of restricted admission tickets will be available for $10 at the Lloyd Noble Center's North and East ticket windows starting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Restricted admission ticket holders are allowed to sit in a vacant upper-level seat after tipoff. Fans should also check OU's Ticket Marketplace for reserved seats that may become available leading up to Saturday's game.

The OU-Texas A&M game is also "Cheer Like a Champion Day". White T-shirts will be placed in every seat of the Lloyd Noble Center. Come out and support your Sooners, both past and present.
