NORMAN, Okla. -- Ashley Paris comes to you direct from Iowa City for the latest installment of her video diary.

With the Sooners preparing for their second-round matchup vs. Georgia Tech, Paris has a special challenge for Sooner fans. She also discusses the contributions of some of her teammates during OU's opening-round win against Prairie View A&M.

Oklahoma and Georgia Tech tip off at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. For complete information on following the Sooners, visit the following link.

Stay up-to-date with Paris throughout the 2008-09 OU women's basketball season. The senior forward will check in periodically to discuss a variety of topics with Sooner fans and to share some insight into what's happening both on and off the court for the Sooners.

In the process, you'll get to know her as a student-athlete rather than just No. 5 on the court. Stay tuned throughout the season as Paris gives us a closer look at what it's like being a part of the Oklahoma basketball program.

• Jenni Carlson of the Oklahoman: "Four years later, they are without a Final Four appearance, much less a national title. The Paris sisters have never even made it past the Sweet 16."

• John Helsley of the Oklahoman: "Sibling Revelry: OU's Taylor Griffin and Ashley Paris."

• Jake Trotter of the Oklahoman: "Ashley Paris: For fun, I try to sing. But I'm not a real singer."

• From Lynn Jacobsen of the Tulsa World: "The OU senior no longer takes a back seat to twin sister Courtney, a three-time All-American, who until just recently was grabbing all the headlines."

• From Jeré Longman of the New York Times: "The names on the jerseys are familiar, if the context is not. Olajuwon. Roethlisberger. Paris. Hand. There is a spark of recognition and the conjuring of male sporting excellence. But these players are women, and their names also serve as signposts on the long road to acceptance and opportunity."

• From Mechelle Voepel of ESPN.com: Courtney and Ashley Paris came to Oklahoma from Piedmont, Calif., thinking they would win a national championship. Or go to a Final Four at the least. "I feel a sense of urgency," Ashley acknowledged, "and it's kind of scary."

• From Karen Crouse of the New York Times: Ashley is the practical one, functioning as Courtney's de-facto personal assistant. "I think I'm more proactive about normal stuff," Ashley said. "Like bills, for example." Courtney conceded, "I'm more of a free spirit."
