Oklahoma Game Notes

• OU failed to score on its first possession for the first time this season. The Sooners recorded a touchdown in each of their previous six contests. It was the first trip inside the red zone this season that the Sooners failed to put points on the board (OU entered the game a perfect 28-of-28 inside the 20, with 27 TDs.

• Senior Nic Harris started the contest at middle linebacker for the injured Ryan Reynolds, while junior Quinton Carter got his first career start at safety. Harris was credited with five tackles, while Carter had 10.

• OU's 252 yards of first-quarter offense was its highest total in any quarter against KU, breaking the previous best of 235 in the first quarter of the 1953 match up. The yardage total is the Sooners' eighth-best mark in any quarter in program history.

• OU's 419 yards in the first half was the third time in the Stoops' era that it had eclipsed the 400-yard mark in a half. The two prior occurrences both came last season (North Texas and Utah State).

• The two squads combined for 1,165 yards, marking just the sixth time in program history that OU and its opponent have combined for over 1,000 yards of total offense.

• The Sooners extended their nation's longest home winning streak to 22, the second longest streak in school history. The last time Oklahoma entered a home contest with a 21-game winning streak was in 1975, where Kansas subsequently ended the streak, beating Oklahoma 23-3.

• The Sooners recorded 674 yards of total offense -- their highest total in 20 years (829 against KSU in 1988) and 216 yards more than any KU opponent on the year (USF had 458). OU's yardage total marked the fifth-most all-time surrendered by a KU opponent and the most since giving up 717 yards to Oklahoma State in 1988.

• OU's 97 offensive plays is the most since 1975 when the Sooners ran 102 plays against the Oregon Ducks.

Sam Bradford
• Bradford's 468 yards set a program record for passing yards in a contest, breaking the previous best of 429 by Josh Heupel against Louisville in 1999.

• Bradford's 36 completions and 53 attempts tied for third all-time among Sooner QBs.

• Bradford's 189 first-quarter passing yards is the second-best tally in an opening quarter by an OU QB and the sixth-best mark in any quarter. Bradford was just 13 yards shy of his OU record first-quarter yardage of 202 against TCU earlier this season.

• Bradford's 313 first-half passing yards shares second all-time among Sooner signal callers.

Lendy Holmes
• Holmes was the first Sooner player with multiple interceptions in a contest since D.J. Wolfe picked off two Colorado passes last season.

Juaquin Iglesias
• Iglesias' 10 first-half catches and 178 receiving yards in the opening half both set school records. Iglesias broke the first-half yardage mark set by Mark Clayton (166) against Texas A&M 2003. Three players shared the previous record of eight receptions in a half - the last being Manuel Johnson against UTC this season.

• Iglesias' 12 catches also set a program best, breaking the previous high of 11 by three Sooners. His 191 yards receiving is the second-most ever for an OU player (206 - Manuel Johnson against TCU this season).

• With his first half performance, Iglesias moved to second on the OU all-time yardage list with 2,383 yards. Iglesias moved past Malcolm Kelly (2,285) and trails only Mark Clayton (3,241).

• Iglesias' six catches in the opening quarter is the second-most in a first-quarter by any OU receiver, one shy of Eddie Hinton's seven receptions in the first quarter of OU's 1968 contest with Oklahoma State.

• Iglesias' 104 receiving yards in the opening quarter marked just the 12th time in school history that an OU receiver has eclipsed the 100-yard total in a single quarter.

Matt Clapp
• Entering the game with 32 all-purpose yards (20 receiving / 12 rushing), Clapp recorded 28 total yards and a touchdown in the first quarter of today's contest.

Quentin Chaney
• Chaney recorded 105 yards on six catches, his second career game with over 100 yards receiving.

DeMarco Murray
• Murray's two rushing TD scampers pushed his career total to 20 on the ground (22 total touchdowns). It was his sixth career multi-scoring performance.

Quinton Carter
• With 10 tackles in his first career start, Carter became the fifth Sooner this season to notch double-digit tackles in a contest, joining Jeremy Beal, Keenan Clayton, Travis Lewis (twice) and Ryan Reynolds.

Kolby Smith
• Smith recorded his first career touchdown in the fourth quarter of today's contest. It also marked the walk-on's first career reception.

Frank Alexander
• Alexander recorded his first career action after sitting out of the first six games of the season with an injury.

By the Numbers

85,241 - Today's attendance marked OU's 60th consecutive sellout under Stoops.

674 - The Sooners recorded 674 yards of total offense, its highest total in 20 years.

468 - Bradford's 468 yards set a program record for passing yards in a contest.

216 - OU recorded 674 yards of total offense -- 216 more than any KU opponent on the year.

178 - Iglesias' 10 first-half catches and 178 receiving yards in the opening half both set school records.

26 - Bradford's 26 first-half completions was the most for any OU quarterback in a half. The previous best was Josh Heupel's 25 in the opening half against Texas A&M in 1999.

12 - Juaquin Iglesias' 12 catches also set a program best, breaking the previous high of 11 by three Sooners.

7 - With his two first-half interceptions, Lendy Holmes pushed his career tally to seven.

4 - Today's contest lasted exactly four hours, sharing the mark for the fifth-longest game in OU history.

2 - Matthew Mooreland's back-to-back touchbacks on OU's first two kickoffs of the second half marked the first time this season that the Sooners have had consecutive kickoffs result in touchbacks.

1 - The Sooners forced a pair of first-half interceptions by KU's Todd Reesing, marking the first time this season that the KU QB has thrown multiple picks in a game.
